John McMurtry, Emeritus Professor of Philosophy, Guelph University, Canada, at the 9-11 Truth Conference in Vancouver, June 22-24, 2007, talks about the refusal of the media/establishment to confront the spuriousness of the official conspiracy theory about 9-11.

He suggests that before examining alternative theories, we should ask the following:

1. Why the charge of “conspiracy theory” is immediately thrown at anyone who questions the many glaring contradictions in the official story

2. Why discussion of 9-11 immediately results in expulsion from mainstream news venues

3. Why, nonetheless, 9-11 is invoked over and over again with almost religious fervor and symbolism

4. Why none of the major “facts” enumerated in the official theory have ever been documented.  Not Osama Bin Laden’s perpetration of it, not the guilt of the 19 Saudi hijackers, and not even the “collapse”  of the towers from the melting of its girders by jet fuel combustion.

5. Who benefits from such an attack and its fall out.
