This is the first time I’ve flown directly from Latin America to Asia, without going through London or Miami or Los Angeles. The flight was Buenos Aires direct to Singapore, and then a change of flight to Bangalore. Long, but not nearly as bad as some trips I’ve made. I’m told several airlines will be flying this route, often with a stop at Cape Town. South to South, eliminating London, New York, or Los Angeles. A sign of the times..
It’s good to be back home after several years..
I’m surprised there is such a non-stop flight and I can’t imagine taking one. How long does it take to fly halfway around the world, gotta be more than 20 hrs…I’d go nuts as I can’t sleep on planes. I am inclined to turn down a request to travel to thailand for business purposes because it would be just a two day visit and dread the prospect of two long ass flights in such a short time period.
PS, did the flight go over the pacific or across the atlantic, africa, etc.? West is my guess to take advantage of tail winds…
PSS, I’m sure your family is very glad you’re back.
