Krugman Watch: Some Effigies Are More Equal Than Other Effigies

Matt Welch at Reason:

“Last week, you’ll recall, New York Times columnist Paul Krugman began his column by saying: “A message to progressives: By all means, hang Senator Joe Lieberman in effigy,” which was in seeming contradiction to his alarmed observation four months prior that “congressmen hanged in effigy” by Tea Partiers represented “something new and ugly” in American politics. Well, yesterday, the Krugger issued one of the better non-apology apologies you’ll read this week:

(Management wants me to make it clear that in my last column I wasn’t endorsing inappropriate threats against Mr. Lieberman.)”

  1. Hahahhahahahhahahahhahahahahahahahhahahaa….

hold on, let me catch my breath, it hurts, it hurts…

    Hhahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha…

There are a lot of sad human beings out there but Krugman often takes the daily cake. What a creepy, delusional little man.

  2. You know, I am not a Krugman hater..although everyone else I know who is libertarian seems to be..

He is a bit crazed on TV..but his writing is very graceful..clear..
I read a book of his which won a national book award, I forget the name..and it was really a treat to read for an economic history..

But he’s got a kind of schizophrenia..
When he gets into the political debate, he’s totally different.

I honestly think this is a cultural/ethnicity issue.

I think Krugman really thinks the right is some kind of creepy medievalist, money worshipping, possibly pedophilic (see Ritholtz and before that Michael Wolff at Vanity Fair using the same term) group of white men..
(catholics, mormons, and orthodox jews) all in league with churches and synagogues to roll back civil rights, science, and modernity.

It would be funny except its frightening
Have you been on some of the liberal blogs?
I feel like offering them some kind of depressant..they all seem to work themselves into manic fits over the right..
    I honestly don’t get it..
