A strange development. The Daily Bell is folding up. I wonder why? I used to comment there, I hope in ways that helped. The Bell regularly came up with useful insights, provided a forum for a lot of interesting commenters, and helped me, at least, understand the big picture than I’d done before. They lent their weight to deconstructing several important psy-ops. The more interesting question is whether they were themselves part of some kind of media operation. Several sites have wondered about it. This will add to the speculation, since on the surface at least the Bell is doing well.
I’ve frequently applauded founder-editor Anthony Wile, an unusually courteous and decorous writer, by the standards of political blogging.
Still, I’ve always harbored suspicions about what the Bell really was all about, given its connections to Agora Inc. I wonder if it’s paying the price for going beyond what’s acceptable, especially with the Snowden saga? Perhaps they crossed the line there.

Anyway, I think it’s quite clear what busted them: they got called and they were found out bluffing.

I actually think Wile was on the side of the angels – or trying his best to be and I think there must be other partners involved who didn’t like all that pushing of the envelope.
Probably that explains the peculiar back and forth in the comment section.
It’s interesting.
Agora has put out a lot of good stuff, so it’s a mixed bag, but ultimately I think there’s a lot of fronting for corporate-state interests.
My sneaking suspicion was that there might have been some intel related motivation – harvesting IP addresses, monitoring reactions.
Wile himself seemed a fairly sincere person.
But who knows who else was involved.

I honestly don’t know why the Daily Bell decided to close at this juncture (so I don’t necessarily agree with Anthony Migchels on that point, even though we agree on many points), but I am somewhat surprised by your characterization of Anthony Wile as being sincere and “on the side of the angels”.

I note that, while many people on various sites criticized this piece, I haven’t seen any serious factual debunking yet (notably concerning the connections between Wile, Holland, Rees-Moog, and Davidson, as well as the partnership with Colombian mining concerns). You are welcome to try – I am convinced that you know a lot more than I do about these people, but you have (probably wisely) decided not to publish everything you know on that topic and related ones.

No, I actually do believe that Wile was trying to do his best….I think that’s why he went back and forth.
He himself knew that what we were saying was accurate, but he also knew if he went too far, he would be offending his business partners.
So my guess is that he was trying to get by without offending. He may also have genuinely be disturbed by language about Zionism, since European law on this is much stricter than US law.
Even within Agora, there are plenty of sincere and honest people. Certain senior people there probably have the Rothschild connections or the CIA links…not the others.
Then both DB and Agora are first and foremost businesses not activists. So they cannot shoot off their mouths.
I do know that practically all the hard money sites are linked to them in some way. They are associated with people like Rick Rule, Eric Sprott, Daniel Loeb, many others…that is politically all over the map.
Agora is a holding company and each entity within the group is legally separate. There is a wide range of opinion.
Wile was quite to the left on the “austerity” issue, whereas other, more senior individuals, are on the right.
I have written as much as I can without wandering off into libel or conjecture..
He was quite good on the Assange promotion, the Snowden psyop and so on.
It was very helpful to have a fairly big libertarian platform even broach those issues.
Maybe there was some disinfo in some of the far out conspiracies, but you know, who knows? Perhaps they sincerely held those views.
The only thing I really disagreed with them was on the issue of prosecution of Wall Street crime. They were against it..
Seems to me they closed shop right after they asked for donations. I imagine they didn’t get very much. That’s reason enough for most to close shop.
That was my impression anyway.
That, and they read about your blog entry about what happened to those who added two and two together so even mass-man could understand.
