….you grovel to the right people.
P. J. O’Rourke, usually a funny guy, is distinctly unfunny, foul, and flatulent in this grotesque demonstration of ethnic self-flagellation masquerading as an explanation of why Ann Coulter committed pure evil by asking how many “effing” J’s there were anyway in the US .
Coulter was being no more incendiary than she usually is, only this time, the target was the ruling class, which sent out one of its lap-dogs to do its bidding.
I found Coulter’s tweet “effin” hilarious. But what I find more interesting is the equivocation of “jews” with Israel.
I would like for someone to please explain to me why an American with several generations of lineage here in The States automatically has some attachment to a nation-state thousands of miles away just because they happen to follow a certain religion.
That’s kinda “effin” illogical.
I mean I have direct lineage to Germany. Family came here in the late 19th century. While I like German beer and tend to be a Bayern Munich supporter…
Perhaps that is a component of Coulter’s comment?
Why is it that my second generation Muslim brother-in-law doesn’t have the same issue with say Algeria the birthplace of his father?
Hi Keith,
There is a narrative here.
One that’s reinforced by trauma-conditioning of an entire population.
How do you control a people?
Just as you control a single person.
Think about domestic abuse.
First, you isolate the person. Maybe you stop him from driving or going out or meeting his immediate family.
Well, in the case of Jews, they were historically isolated – by the enmity between their culture and the wider Christian cultures in which they lived. They were isolated not only by religion, but by their ethnicity.
Then, their religious leaders isolated them further, with notions of genetic and spiritual superiority, ritual pollution and the like.
Next, because of their financial leaders, they were separated from the population.
The financiers encouraged a form of debt bondage that led to the local populations expelling them….and ordinary Jews once again felt targeted and isolated.
So, in stead of feeling secure in their economic and educational superiority to the population, the Jews tended to become more and more insecure and paranoid.
Finally, there was the Holocaust, which was treated at first just like any other terrible disaster.
Later, it became something unique that again separated and isolated the Jews.
So too anti-Semitism, hatred directed only at Jews, unique, inexplicable….
And it was inexplicable because history was suppressed. Thoughts were controlled.
What else do you need to perpetuate trauma?
Erasure of real memories. Reiteration of false or created memories, repetition of slogans, constant fear-mongering and group defensiveness that strengthen the feeling of being outsiders.
Add to all this an ethno-religion such as Judaism…and Kabbalistic notions of genetic uniqueness.
Jewish leaders are extraordinarily powerful…and you know absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Even God is not as great as the great Rabbis and the Jewish elites…
Tribalism.
Yeah I get your point about the trauma and such and agree with you on that.
I suspect that is a driving component to what I was trying to cite that of the devotion to a nation state.
The fact that the particular mation state is “the Jewish state” is and always will be to me bizarre. The group of people that were targeted by a nation state that was trying to create some “pure” populus then turns around and founds a state that effectively achieves that very goal? Maybe not classical irony but again “effin” bizarre.
Tribalism is gonna be the end of anything that one can find decent in humanity.
Tribalism is fine to a degree. I think Jews deserve to have their own tribalism as much as anyone else. However, after a certain point…
I think it’s the combination of tribalism, with the past history, the financial cabal. that makes for something radically new and dangerous.
Whoa, you guys seem way smarter than I.
Thanks for sharing. (I mean that)
For us dumb rooks, via thefreedictionary:
kabbalistic – having a secret or hidden meaning; “cabalistic symbols engraved in stone”; “cryptic writings”;
esoteric – confined to and understandable by only an enlightened inner circle; “a compilation of esoteric philosophical theories”
This, to me, was an entirely new phrase: “trauma-conditioning of an entire population” – now that there, is some words.
This is like a Very Powerful line in a movie:
“How do you control a single person. Just as you control a single person.”
[Crap! Then I think about my own life, “First, you isolate the person. You stop him from driving or going out ot meeting his immediate family”]
Check. …”They” are doing that all the time with D.U.I. bull-sheet, etc, etc….
Imho, this is one of the most informative bits of words you’ve ever written. I wish I could comment more but I’ve run out of time.
Two titles, the thoughts of which, in my mind, I connect with your blog (and the world of People around us all) among many many other thoughts:

Struggling With The Burden of Truth and Knowledge
backdoorsurvival October 2, 2015
Haha.
What about “Why do idiot bloggers waste their time and become road-kill for the powers-that-be by blogging about stuff they shouldn’t blog about?”
Why indeed.
Because everyone does what they feel they have to when and where they feel they must.
Because…gravity.
