Proud Boys Arrested, Infiltrated Jan 6 Protest As Antifa

Two more leaders of Proud Boys, the agent- provocateur fake-right group started by noted leftist bohemian Gavin McInnes, have been arrested for participating in the January 6 Capitol protest.

Notably, one was on record boasting that he would attend the rally unrecognizable as a Proud Boy and blending in with Antifa, according to police.

The Daily Beast reports:

Prosecutors also describe in the complaint how Proud Boy organizers—including the organization’s leader, Enrique Tarrio, encouraged their members to attend the insurrection at the Capitol in the days leading up to it.

In one Dec. 29 message, Biggs wrote on Parler, “We will not be attending DC in colors. We will be blending in as one of you. You won’t see us. You’ll even think we are you…We are going to smell like you, move like you, and look like you.”

“The only thing we’ll do that’s us is think like us! Jan 6th is gonna be epic,” Biggs continued, according to the complaint, which notes that authorities understood he was speaking directly to “antifa.”

Tarrio was arrested on Jan. 4, two days before the riots. Several other extremists have been arrested for their roles in planning and participating in the riots, including Dominic “Spazzo” Pezzola, a Proud Boys member who allegedly smashed a window at the Capitol with a police shield, and an apparent leader of the Oath Keepers.

Proud Boys Leader Was FBI Informant

I mentioned in an earlier post that the alleged far-right group, Proud Boys, was likely to be some kind of agent provocateur.

Now it turns out that one of the leaders, arrested in the wake of the Capitol Protest of January 6, was actually an FBI informant.

“The leader of the Proud Boys extremist group has been unmasked as a “prolific” former FBI informant.

Enrique Tarrio, 36, worked undercover exposing a human trafficking ring, and helped with drug and gambling cases, according to court documents.

Tarrio’s documented involvement with law enforcement related to the period 2012 -2014. There was no evidence of him cooperating after that.”

Tarrio himself says he has no recollection of every having acted as an informant.
