FBI: Oathkeepers Linked To Jan 6 Arrests, Sedition

AP News, January 20, 2021:

CINCINNATI (AP) — Federal authorities presented new details on Tuesday about three self-described members of a paramilitary group who are the first to be charged with plotting the attack on the U.S. Capitol.

The FBI said a Virginia man, Thomas Edward Caldwell, appeared to be a leader of the effort. Caldwell and a man and woman from Ohio were all charged with conspiracy and other federal counts, the first of more than 125 people arrested in connection with the Jan. 6 assault to be charged with conspiracy.

The chilling details in the case included communications between the defendants and others.

“All members are in the tunnels under the capital,” the FBI quoted a message sent to Caldwell during the Capitol attack. “Seal them in turn on gas.”

Other messages referred to the legislators as “traitors” and called for “night hunting.”

The FBI collected social media messages, photos and video to identify them as part of the Oath Keepers, which believes in a “shadowy conspiracy” to strip Americans of their rights.

Messages included in FBI charging documents had quotes with the three suspects exulting over breaching the Capitol, and Caldwell telling an Oath Keepers leader he was ready to attack Ohio’s capital of Columbus.

“We need to do this at the local level,” he allegedly messaged. “Lets (sic) storm the capitol in Ohio. Tell me when!”

Details of the documents made public offer some insight to planning and coordination behind the extraordinary attack, which apparently took law enforcement by surprise despite various warnings online.

The Oath Keepers group often recruits current and former military, police or other first responders. Records show that Donovan Crowl, 50, served in the U.S. Marines. He was arrested along with Jessica Watkins, 38. Both are Champaign County, Ohio, residents. It wasn’t clear immediately whether either Caldwell or Watkins has military or law enforcement experience.

The FBI said some Oath Keepers members were wearing helmets, protective vests and items with the group’s name and motto: “Not On Our Watch.” The FBI also said that they seemed to “move in an organized and practiced fashion and force their way to the front of the crowd gathered around a door to the U.S. Capitol.”

An affidavit filed against Caldwell states that he was involved in the planning and coordinating of the Capitol breach with Watkins and Crowl. Watkins, who allegedly called herself the commanding officer, and Crowl allegedly belong to the Ohio State Regular Militia, dues-paying members of the Oath Keepers. In one social media post, the FBI said, Watkins pictured Crowl and called him “one of my guys.”

POTUS: Farewell Address Transcript

From the White House:

THE PRESIDENT: My fellow Americans: Four years ago, we launched a great national effort to rebuild our country, to renew its spirit, and to restore the allegiance of this government to its citizens. In short, we embarked on a mission to make America great again — for all Americans.

As I conclude my term as the 45th President of the United States, I stand before you truly proud of what we have achieved together. We did what we came here to do — and so much more.

This week, we inaugurate a new administration and pray for its success in keeping America safe and prosperous. We extend our best wishes, and we also want them to have luck — a very important word.

[Lila: Does not mention the Biden administration. Does it even refer to the Biden administration? Safety and prosperity are the last things a treacherous, globalist socialist cabal will ever give to the country, so why mention them? And why the emphasis on luck? Did Trump see himself as unlucky? Or is this about something else?]

I’d like to begin by thanking just a few of the amazing people who made our remarkable journey possible.

First, let me express my overwhelming gratitude for the love and support of our spectacular First Lady, Melania. Let me also share my deepest appreciation to my daughter Ivanka, my son-in-law Jared, and to Barron, Don, Eric, Tiffany, and Lara. You fill my world with light and with joy.

I also want to thank Vice President Mike Pence, his wonderful wife Karen, and the entire Pence family.

[Lila: On the other hand, Pence, after stabbing his CIC in the back, didn’t bother to attend PDJT’s farewell.]

Thank you as well to my Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows; the dedicated members of the White House Staff and the Cabinet; and all the incredible people across our administration who poured out their heart and soul to fight for America.

I also want to take a moment to thank a truly exceptional group of people: the United States Secret Service. My family and I will forever be in your debt. My profound gratitude as well to everyone in the White House Military Office, the teams of Marine One and Air Force One, every member of the Armed Forces, and state and local law enforcement all across our country.

[Lila: PDJT’s has always been an administration closely intertwined with the rank and file of the armed forces, especially special operations, marines and secret service and he singles them out for mention.]

Most of all, I want to thank the American people. To serve as your President has been an honor beyond description. Thank you for this extraordinary privilege. And that’s what it is — a great privilege and a great honor.

We must never forget that while Americans will always have our disagreements, we are a nation of incredible, decent, faithful, and peace-loving citizens who all want our country to thrive and flourish and be very, very successful and good. We are a truly magnificent nation.

All Americans were horrified by the assault on our Capitol. Political violence is an attack on everything we cherish as Americans. It can never be tolerated.

[Lila: The rampaging at the Capitol was largely the work of infiltrators and Trump certainly doesn’t blame his supporters but goes out of his way to endorse MAGA multiple times.]

Now more than ever, we must unify around our shared values and rise above the partisan rancor, and forge our common destiny.

Four years ago, I came to Washington as the only true outsider ever to win the presidency. I had not spent my career as a politician, but as a builder looking at open skylines and imagining infinite possibilities. I ran for President because I knew there were towering new summits for America just waiting to be scaled. I knew the potential for our nation was boundless as long as we put America first.

So I left behind my former life and stepped into a very difficult arena, but an arena nevertheless, with all sorts of potential if properly done. America had given me so much, and I wanted to give something back.

Together with millions of hardworking patriots across this land, we built the greatest political movement in the history of our country. We also built the greatest economy in the history of the world. It was about “America First” because we all wanted to make America great again. We restored the principle that a nation exists to serve its citizens. Our agenda was not about right or left, it wasn’t about Republican or Democrat, but about the good of a nation, and that means the whole nation.

With the support and prayers of the American people, we achieved more than anyone thought possible. Nobody thought we could even come close.

We passed the largest package of tax cuts and reforms in American history. We slashed more job-killing regulations than any administration had ever done before. We fixed our broken trade deals, withdrew from the horrible Trans-Pacific Partnership and the impossible Paris Climate Accord, renegotiated the one-sided South Korea deal, and we replaced NAFTA with the groundbreaking USMCA — that’s Mexico and Canada — a deal that’s worked out very, very well.

Also, and very importantly, we imposed historic and monumental tariffs on China; made a great new deal with China. But before the ink was even dry, we and the whole world got hit with the China virus. Our trade relationship was rapidly changing, billions and billions of dollars were pouring into the U.S., but the virus forced us to go in a different direction.

[Lila: The word “luck” then was a reference to the China virus striking during his administration. Of course, it was not a matter of luck, but of deliberation. And the Trump presidency and its alliances around the world were the target. Trump surely knows this and has even said he knows it. He was targeted. America was targeted. It had nothing to do with luck.]

The whole world suffered, but America outperformed other countries economically because of our incredible economy and the economy that we built. Without the foundations and footings, it wouldn’t have worked out this way. We wouldn’t have some of the best numbers we’ve ever had.

We also unlocked our energy resources and became the world’s number-one producer of oil and natural gas by far. Powered by these policies, we built the greatest economy in the history of the world. We reignited America’s job creation and achieved record-low unemployment for African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, women — almost everyone.

Incomes soared, wages boomed, the American Dream was restored, and millions were lifted from poverty in just a few short years. It was a miracle. The stock market set one record after another, with 148 stock market highs during this short period of time, and boosted the retirements and pensions of hardworking citizens all across our nation. 401(k)s are at a level they’ve never been at before. We’ve never seen numbers like we’ve seen, and that’s before the pandemic and after the pandemic.

We rebuilt the American manufacturing base, opened up thousands of new factories, and brought back the beautiful phrase: “Made in the USA.”

To make life better for working families, we doubled the child tax credit and signed the largest-ever expansion of funding for childcare and development. We joined with the private sector to secure commitments to train more than 16 million American workers for the jobs of tomorrow.

When our nation was hit with the terrible pandemic, we produced not one, but two vaccines with record-breaking speed, and more will quickly follow. They said it couldn’t be done but we did it. They call it a “medical miracle,” and that’s what they’re calling it right now: a “medical miracle.”

Another administration would have taken 3, 4, 5, maybe even up to 10 years to develop a vaccine. We did in nine months.

We grieve for every life lost, and we pledge in their memory to wipe out this horrible pandemic once and for all.

When the virus took its brutal toll on the world’s economy, we launched the fastest economic recovery our country has ever seen. We passed nearly $4 trillion in economic relief, saved or supported over 50 million jobs, and slashed the unemployment rate in half. These are numbers that our country has never seen before.

We created choice and transparency in healthcare, stood up to big pharma in so many ways, but especially in our effort to get favored-nations clauses added, which will give us the lowest prescription drug prices anywhere in the world.

We passed VA Choice, VA Accountability, Right to Try, and landmark criminal justice reform.

We confirmed three new justices of the United States Supreme Court. We appointed nearly 300 federal judges to interpret our Constitution as written.

For years, the American people pleaded with Washington to finally secure the nation’s borders. I am pleased to say we answered that plea and achieved the most secure border in U.S. history. We have given our brave border agents and heroic ICE officers the tools they need to do their jobs better than they have ever done before, and to enforce our laws and keep America safe.

We proudly leave the next administration with the strongest and most robust border security measures ever put into place. This includes historic agreements with Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador, along with more than 450 miles of powerful new wall.

We restored American strength at home and American leadership abroad. The world respects us again. Please don’t lose that respect.

We reclaimed our sovereignty by standing up for America at the United Nations and withdrawing from the one-sided global deals that never served our interests. And NATO countries are now paying hundreds of billions of dollars more than when I arrived just a few years ago. It was very unfair. We were paying the cost for the world. Now the world is helping us.

And perhaps most importantly of all, with nearly $3 trillion, we fully rebuilt the American military — all made in the USA. We launched the first new branch of the United States Armed Forces in 75 years: the Space Force. And last spring, I stood at Kennedy Space Center in Florida and watched as American astronauts returned to space on American rockets for the first time in many, many years.

We revitalized our alliances and rallied the nations of the world to stand up to China like never before.

We obliterated the ISIS caliphate and ended the wretched life of its founder and leader, al Baghdadi. We stood up to the oppressive Iranian regime and killed the world’s top terrorist, Iranian butcher Qasem Soleimani.

We recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

As a result of our bold diplomacy and principled realism, we achieved a series of historic peace deals in the Middle East. Nobody believed it could happen. The Abraham Accords opened the doors to a future of peace and harmony, not violence and bloodshed. It is the dawn of a new Middle East, and we are bringing our soldiers home.

I am especially proud to be the first President in decades who has started no new wars.

Above all, we have reasserted the sacred idea that, in America, the government answers to the people. Our guiding light, our North Star, our unwavering conviction has been that we are here to serve the noble everyday citizens of America. Our allegiance is not to the special interests, corporations, or global entities; it’s to our children, our citizens, and to our nation itself.

As President, my top priority, my constant concern, has always been the best interests of American workers and American families. I did not seek the easiest course; by far, it was actually the most difficult. I did not seek the path that would get the least criticism. I took on the tough battles, the hardest fights, the most difficult choices because that’s what you elected me to do. Your needs were my first and last unyielding focus.

This, I hope, will be our greatest legacy: Together, we put the American people back in charge of our country. We restored self-government. We restored the idea that in America no one is forgotten, because everyone matters and everyone has a voice. We fought for the principle that every citizen is entitled to equal dignity, equal treatment, and equal rights because we are all made equal by God. Everyone is entitled to be treated with respect, to have their voice heard, and to have their government listen. You are loyal to your country, and my administration was always loyal to you.

We worked to build a country in which every citizen could find a great job and support their wonderful families. We fought for the communities where every American could be safe and schools where every child could learn. We promoted a culture where our laws would be upheld, our heroes honored, our history preserved, and law-abiding citizens are never taken for granted. Americans should take tremendous satisfaction in all that we have achieved together. It’s incredible.

Now, as I leave the White House, I have been reflecting on the dangers that threaten the priceless inheritance we all share. As the world’s most powerful nation, America faces constant threats and challenges from abroad. But the greatest danger we face is a loss of confidence in ourselves, a loss of confidence in our national greatness. A nation is only as strong as its spirit. We are only as dynamic as our pride. We are only as vibrant as the faith that beats in the hearts of our people.

No nation can long thrive that loses faith in its own values, history, and heroes, for these are the very sources of our unity and our vitality.

What has always allowed America to prevail and triumph over the great challenges of the past has been an unyielding and unashamed conviction in the nobility of our country and its unique purpose in history. We must never lose this conviction. We must never forsake our belief in America.

The key to national greatness lies in sustaining and instilling our shared national identity. That means focusing on what we have in common: the heritage that we all share.

[Lila: This is a direct hit against the diversity industry and the granting of special privileges to people for nothing more than their difference from the mainstream or the common.]

At the center of this heritage is also a robust belief in free expression, free speech, and open debate. Only if we forget who we are, and how we got here, could we ever allow political censorship and blacklisting to take place in America. It’s not even thinkable. Shutting down free and open debate violates our core values and most enduring traditions.
In America, we don’t insist on absolute conformity or enforce rigid orthodoxies and punitive speech codes. We just don’t do that. America is not a timid nation of tame souls who need to be sheltered and protected from those with whom we disagree. That’s not who we are. It will never be who we are.

[Lila: Another direct hit at the Democrats and the media for their totalitarian approach to the political speech of their critics and opponents. He calls them UNAMERICAN plainly.]

For nearly 250 years, in the face of every challenge, Americans have always summoned our unmatched courage, confidence, and fierce independence. These are the miraculous traits that once led millions of everyday citizens to set out across a wild continent and carve out a new life in the great West. It was the same profound love of our God-given freedom that willed our soldiers into battle and our astronauts into space.

As I think back on the past four years, one image rises in my mind above all others. Whenever I traveled all along the motorcade route, there were thousands and thousands of people. They came out with their families so that they could stand as we passed, and proudly wave our great American flag. It never failed to deeply move me. I knew that they did not just come out to show their support of me; they came out to show me their support and love for our country.

This is a republic of proud citizens who are united by our common conviction that America is the greatest nation in all of history. We are, and must always be, a land of hope, of light, and of glory to all the world. This is the precious inheritance that we must safeguard at every single turn.

For the past four years, I have worked to do just that. From a great hall of Muslim leaders in Riyadh to a great square of Polish people in Warsaw; from the floor of the Korean Assembly to the podium at the United Nations General Assembly; and from the Forbidden City in Beijing to the shadow of Mount Rushmore, I fought for you, I fought for your family, I fought for our country. Above all, I fought for America and all it stands for — and that is safe, strong, proud, and free.

Now, as I prepare to hand power over to a new administration at noon on Wednesday, I want you to know that the movement we started is only just beginning. There’s never been anything like it. The belief that a nation must serve its citizens will not dwindle but instead only grow stronger by the day.

[Lila: Again, the Biden administration is not named.]

As long as the American people hold in their hearts deep and devoted love of country, then there is nothing that this nation cannot achieve. Our communities will flourish. Our people will be prosperous. Our traditions will be cherished. Our faith will be strong. And our future will be brighter than ever before.

I go from this majestic place with a loyal and joyful heart, an optimistic spirit, and a supreme confidence that for our country and for our children, the best is yet to come.

Thank you, and farewell. God bless you. God bless the United States of America.

Why Pompeo Is Right To Rebrand Cuba A Terrorist Sponsor

From Townhall.com:

Most of Cuba’s economic infrastructure—especially tourism facilities—are owned by Cuba’s military. Hence every penny spent in Cuba by foreign investors and tourists lands in their pockets, hence Secretary Pompeo’s recent diplomatic “banana-peels” and “vandalism” (i.e. efforts to financially handicap mass-murdering, America-hating terror-sponsors.)

Every shred of observable evidence proves that travel to Cuba and business with its Stalinist mafia enriches and entrenches these KGB-trained, terror-sponsoring and heavily-armed owners of Cuba’s tourism industry. They’re the only outfit in Cuba with guns and they remain the most highly motivated guardians of Cuba’s Stalinist and Terror-Sponsoring status-quo.

Please note: there is no “doing business with Cuba,” as the Biden team and their media auxiliaries claim. There is only doing business with the KGB and GRU trained Stalinist fat-cats who occupy Cuba.

Sibel Edmonds On Phase 3 of the Coup

H/T to JayLib, who posted this link in comments on this blog a day ago.

I only watched it an hour ago, b/c I didn’t have the time to sit down and watch uninterrupted. What with an old computer and erratic current and signals, watching YouTube is not something I do regularly, unless I really want to. I get so many overuse complaints from my host, I’ve stopped posting content that might take up more resources and stick to text.

That out of the way, I’ll quickly summarize what she says, which is very interesting and big picture.

First, I’m happy to see someone with such a deep background in intelligence confirm what I’ve been saying here – this is a coup – a Kabbalist coup, using a ginned-up public health crisis as a front. Kabbalist here is a pun – meaning a small coterie or cabal of globalists, power-elite cabal, whatever you call them as the main actors…and then also, Kabbalist in the sense of the ideology – which is straight Masonic, and you know that Masonry is nothing but Kabbalism.

Second, she breaks down the process into 3 phases and puts us in the third phase.

First stage  – destroy the economy, so you have a mass of desperate, starving or near-starving people.

Second stage – create a crisis. This is the pandemic. And she sees it as a drill getting us acclimated to martial law or the full-blown police state we’ve all been fearing for a while now. For decades, really. But this is it. This is the real thing.

Third stage – co-opt the military. She says the Kabal will always have roped in a portion of the military so they can at the critical juncture go in and take over places, like media buildings. In the US, of course, and she does admit this, the media is already taken over. In fact, they have always been the prime instigators of revolution and coups. You can go back and read the US press in the time of the Russian Revolution and there’s the same drum-beat, the same hysterical denunciations of anything the Kabal doesn’t want, the same slanders of those it hates.

The Kabal brings in its own people – all blackmailed, and therefore controlled and compliant. And sometimes, they aren’t brought in, they are already there as infiltrators to undermine and sabotage at the right time. She identifies General Mattis as one of those.

Mattis made a very unexpected frontal attack on the President for suggesting using troops inside the country.

And that actually goes back to what I blogged before on the George Floyd riots. The whole incident is full of the synchronicities and coincidences that by now I’ve come to see accompany these orchestrated crises. And no, orchestrated doesn’t mean it didn’t happen or the place is filled with crisis actors. I think some of those theories are meant to poison the well, as they say, and make all alternative bloggers and sites look crazy.

Orchestrated means something is taken and given a shape and direction that is not happenstance but directed. Not naturally evolving, but planned.

These crises are orchestrated both to test us and monitor our reactions and to bait people. And unfortunately, President Trump fell into the trap. So because of all the violence and looting, conservatives, who should know better, were applauding the President when he said he might use the military within the country. That was Trump, sounding off as usual, without thinking, or maybe someone at his elbow pushed him into the trap. But it was absolutely the wrong message.

And then came the photo-op with the Bible. That was a bad idea too, although conservatives loved it.

But, again, it was bait. And conservatives seem to be very bad at recognizing when they are being played.

They were played like a violin. The media played them immediately, by at once highlighting peaceful demonstrations everywhere, Justin Trudeau taking a knee, large peaceful marches, so Trump and the conservatives suddenly are on the wrong side of the constitution, the wrong side of what it means to be an American.

Because, in theory at least, it’s one of those sacred American principles, like never using the CIA inside the country (although they do); you never use the military on the people. That’s what you have the National Guard for or the local police or troopers.

And that ties in with the theme of the riots, if I might put it that way. The theme was “police brutality” which, if you read up on it, you will know is a result of systematic militarization of the police, a result of our imperial adventurism. So that theme explains why they baited Trump into calling for the military. Because militarization is exactly the problem, not the solution, and by proposing it, he demonstrates that conservatives are wrong and abdicate their principles when their side is in power and thus their criticism on anything else is invalid. That’s the way the elite convey that message.

The right answer to the problem presented by the riots would be to call for a change in police tactics. To ban certain police holds, which I think Minnesota has now done.

But because the elites don’t want conservatives to give the right answer, they always disguise the theme with a narrative that is always something sensational, like white racism.

And conservatives get baited immediately. They look at the story and they see a George Floyd, and read about his criminal history, and they forget that the right answer to the riots is  not that Floyd was a criminal but that the police are out of control.

And the real reason is not because the police are racist, but because we have too many of them, too militarized, and it’s because we are an imperial state and being at war for decades has poisoned the body-politic at home.

But they can’t let you think that. That would bring up the issue of what an empire is and whom it benefits and the state would never want you to start thinking  along those lines. They would rather work everyone up with one of these visceral gore movies, with arson, fire-bombing, sirens, masked antifa goons, looting, broken glass, and dead bodies….

Sam Francis On Anarcho-Tyranny

Anarcho-Tyranny, U.S.A.

Samuel Francis, Chronicles, July 1994

“This condition, which in some of my columns I have called ‘anarcho-tyranny,’ is essentially a kind of Hegelian synthesis of what appear to be dialectical opposites, the combination of oppressive government power against the innocent and the law-abiding and, simultaneously, a grotesque paralysis of the ability or the will to use that power to carry out basic public duties such as protection of public safety.”

Turkey To Turn Hagia Sophia Into Mosque

From OrthoChristian:

“Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has instructed his aides to conduct a comprehensive study of the possibility of converting the status of the famous Agia Sophia in Istanbul from a museum back into a mosque, the Turkish paper Hurriyet reported today.”

The celebrated Orthodox cathedral was built by the Byzantine emperor St. Justinian the Great in what was then the imperial capital, Constantinople. It remains for Orthodoxy the ultimate symbol of the Ottoman rule over Christians that began with the overthrow of the Byzantine Empire in 1453.

The church has been secularized since 1931 and started use as a museum four years later.

This latest move is sure to inflame Orthodox passions, especially in Greece.

Ferguson Forecasts Versus Swedish Reality

From Sanjeev Sabhlok’s blog:

“This chart below is the final nail on the covid panic (and yet, this is a serious disease – I don’t mean to downplay its seriousness – see my text below).
This chart was created by someone who used Neil Ferguson’s model, applied it to Sweden, and then plotted actual deaths (see tweet).
And btw, my research (a couple of hours of googling) confirms that for the world as a whole, there’s been virtually no virus that has ever infected more than 25% per cent of the population. Spanish flu infected only 25% or so (see my tweet thread) – that that was without any vaccination; H1N1 (2009) infected 24%, As a general rule, pandemic influenzas only infect a quarter of the people (see New York government’s website).
This confirms the validity of Anne Marie Knott’s analysis. Not more than 20-30% persons in the average country are likely to get this coronavirus, no matter how hard they try.”

“Coming Plague”: Error-riddled Elite Manifesto

CFR-member and Pulitzer Prize-winner Laurie Garrett is the author of the 768-page “The Coming Plague: Newly Emerging Diseases In a World Out of Balance” (1994). In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, it has been hailed as a prophetic work, especially as Garrett was also a consultant for the 2011 film “Contagion,” which many people see as an example of how the Hollywood-intelligence complex “preps” the public for future planned scenarios.

In my previous post, I mentioned an extraordinary error in the book, noted by an Amazon reviewer.

“She claims, in the chapter “Microbe Magnets” that there were 500,000 deaths from Cholera in NYC in 1832. Wow… that’s a horrifying number. Except it isn’t true. There were about 250,000 people living in NYC that summer, and 3215 of them succumbed to the disease. I was able to check it from multiple sources in mere moments, with the magic of the internet at my fingertips, and although I know she wouldn’t have had that in 1994, it is still an egregious error.” End Quote

If exaggerating something by nearly a 100 times wasn’t bad enough, she also made this whopper:

“The city of Strasbourg alone savagely slew 16,000 of its Jewish residents, blaming them for spreading the Black Death.”

Try as I might, I could not find any credible source for that high a figure, which gives the lie to the NY Times review that calls the book “prodigiously researched.” What Garrett seems to have done is skimmed a few articles and misread them in her haste. [Lila: I corrected a sentence referring to Garrett doing a hasty google search, which would be an anachronism.]

Thus:

” Those people of Strasbourg, who had thus far escaped the plague and who thought that by killing off the Jews they would insure themselves against it in the future, were doomed to disappointment, for the pest soon struck the city and, it is said, took a toll of sixteen thousand lives.

The pestilence (the Black Death) killed 16,000 Strasbourg Christians, after the Christians eliminated the Jews living in the town, killing anywhere between a hundred or two (according to some sources) and two thousand odd (a figure which most scholars believe to be too high):

“Closener [Lila: a contemporary historian] also gave the number of executed as 2,000 (wol uffezwei tusent alse man ahtete). Königshofen agreed with that number (der worent uf zweitusent). This total was probably high because the population of the Jews in Strasbourg was likely only 250 to 300 as has been argued earlier. Possibly, more Jews had come to the community recently to escape potential or actual persecutions in other areas of Alsace and the Empire, but it was likely that the estimate of 2,000 victims was an exaggeration. This large number may be just another example of how Medieval chroniclers were unable to deal with large figures and responded by greatly expanding them…”

200-300 deaths becomes Garrett’s 16,000, which is really the number of gentile Strasbourgians killed by the Black Death.

How can sloppy research of this kind be passed off as prize-winning scholarship, unless the prize is a signalling device indicating a thesis the power-elite find useful to their agenda?

Establishment: Covid-19 Is New Normal

Two establishment mouthpieces, Amy Goodman of Democracy Now and Laurie Garrett, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of “The Coming Plague” and consultant to the predictive programming movie, “Contagion,” chat up our new Covid-19 normal and a future of vaccinations for all 7.5 billion members of our species:

LAURIE GARRETT: So, at a moment when a massive-scale collaboration is necessary — and let’s be clear, we’re going to have to vaccinate 7.5 billion human beings. It’ll be the largest vaccination effort ever even imagined, much less executed, in the history of our species. When that is being revved up in Europe, and there’s a desperate desire to see Asian countries, European countries, African countries, Latin American countries all collaborating with a common mission, the United States is saying, “Bye, guys.”

AMY GOODMAN: Astounding. You have people like — well, you have countries like Norway who are giving a billion dollars, and, as Juan pointed out, the United States is not giving anything to the vaccine effort. But, Laurie, in an interview you did with The New York Times, headlined “She Predicted the Coronavirus. What Does She Foresee Next?” you said that you see that the pandemic goes on for like 36 months. I think people are cringing all over who are hearing this right now. But if you can say — lay out the scenario. And what exactly does that mean? Do you stay in your home for that amount of time? What would be the most logical, safe reopening, if that can happen, and also dealing with this pandemic? Why do you say 36 months?

LAURIE GARRETT: Well, 36 months is my best-case scenario. Worst case is that it becomes a new permanent feature on the landscape for generations to come.

Note: Amazon reviewers find a major error in “The Coming Plague,” as well as undisguised political propaganda:

She claims, in the chapter “Microbe Magnets” that there were 500,000 deaths from Cholera in NYC in 1832. Wow… that’s a horrifying number. Except it isn’t true. There were about 250,000 people living in NYC that summer, and 3215 of them succumbed to the disease. I was able to check it from multiple sources in mere moments, with the magic of the internet at my fingertips, and although I know she wouldn’t have had that in 1994, it is still an egregious error.”

“It would be more than a year before the Reagan administration’s health leadership would accept the idea that AIDS in Africa was primarily heterosexual. The administration would never fully acknowledge that the virus might also be heterosexually transmitted in the United States. Indeed, disputes over heterosexual transmissibility of the virus and the applicability of the African (read: black) experience to the Euro-American (read: white) context would rage within the upper echelons of the U.S. government throughout the eight-year-long Reagan administration and well into the term of his successor, George Bush.”

Really? The author had to add in “(read: white)” and “(read: black)” to make the issue about whether AIDS was spreading heterosexually a racist issue?

Bolsonaro Wants Brazilians Armed

Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro

(who loves to play the provocateur) says what’s on a lot of people’s minds:

“They keep on humiliating our people, and that’s growing…What these sons of bitches want is our freedom.”

“Look how easy it is to impose a dictatorship in Brazil, how easy it is,” he continued. “The people are locked in their homes.”

That is why I want…that the people arm themselves. That’s going to ensure that a motherf***** is not going to show up and impose a dictatorship here. Because it’s easy to impose a dictatorship here. Too easy. A f***ing mayor makes a f***ing decree, handcuff people and keep everyone at home.”

Overlooking the messenger (Bolsonaro is very much a part of the elite dialectic), the message is sound.

What actually stands between you and forced lock-downs, forced vaccinations, forced DNA manipulation (involved in certain vaccines), and forced psychiatric evaluation? Nothing but counter-force.

This could come in the shape of spontaneous citizen militias or underground resistance or mass rioting or coordinated sabotage or any number of subversive actions ranging from dissident blogging to overt non-cooperation with law enforcement. The choice is yours.

But the time is now.
