Two Years For Spying For Enemy, Possible Sixty Years For Hot Tip

I blogged last year about Professor Angana Chatterji, of the California Institute of Integral Studies (founded by Hindus for the studies of the mind-body connection), who, with her husband Richard Shapiro, has been an ardent activist against human rights abuses in Kashmir.

Indian nationalists don’t see her actions in so benign a light, and last year,  she and her husband were fired from CIIS for misusing her academic post for political activism. There was more.

Apparently, she had been in touch with one Ghulam Nabi Fai,  a Kashmiri activist, alleged to be a Pakistani agent, who was arrested in July 2011.

Fai pleaded guilty in December 2011 to two counts of lying  to the government and defrauding the IRS.

< >

The Express Tribune (Pakistan) reports:

“”Arrested in July 2011, Dr Fai, director of the Kashmiri American Council, had been accused of violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act. He has been accused of, and later pleaded guilty to, taking money from the Inter-Services Intelligence to run his US-based NGO. In December 2011, Dr Fai had admitted that from 1990 to 2011, he had received money from Pakistani officials including the ISI and the Government of Pakistan through the Kashmiri American Council.

A Department of Justice press release at the time had stated that Dr Fai could face a maximum sentence of five years on the conspiracy count, and three years for tax violation. Dr Fai had also agreed to forfeit his interest in $142,851.32 seized by the government in July 2011.”

Pai ended up with a relatively light sentence of only two years on the conspiracy charge, against a possible five. The Times of India reports:

“Fai was sentenced to 24 months o byf imprisonment followed three years of supervised release against the maximum possible 5 years (for conspiracy) plus three years (for tax violation).”

So, do I understand that if are a foreign agent of a country the US government is bombing, and you are running a lobbying outfit on US soil to influence US foreign policy favorably toward your country,  and you are actively engaged in conspiracy directed against the US and its allies, and you lie about it to the government and you launder your illicit payments, you get two years…

On the other hand, if you are an American citizen originally from a country ostensibly allied with the US, a friend of prime-minister and presidents,  one of the most highly regarded  and competent senior consultants in the world, a man with many philanthropic accomplishments, and you are convicted on flimsy circumstantial grounds of having made some money on insider information at a board meeting of one of the most corrupt outfits that ever graced the planet, then you are liable to face sixty years?

And the man who actually was guilty of insider-trading and was caught on tape doing it is gets off with no jail, because of his exemplary co-operation?

War On India: US Warns Travelers Not To Visit India

US issues travel advisory against visiting India:

“The United States has issued a fresh travel advisory on overseas travel to its citizens, including India which “continues to experience terrorist and insurgent activities”.

“India continues to experience terrorist and insurgent activities which may affect US citizens directly or

indirectly,” the State Department said in its new worldwide travel alert for its citizens.

“Anti-Western terrorist groups, some on the US government’s list of designated Foreign Terrorist
Organizations (FTOs), poses a potential danger to US citizens in the region,” it said.

“Terrorists and their sympathisers have demonstrated their willingness and ability to attack targets where US

citizens or Westerners are known to congregate or visit.

“Their actions may include, but are not limited to, vehicle-born explosive attacks, improvised explosive device attacks, assassinations, carjackings, rocket attacks, assaults, or kidnappings,” the State Department said. “

Comment:

OK. That’s an official hit against the tourism industry. The advisory is basically letting the world know  the country’s got HIV, please quarantine it.

Is this for real, or is it one more show of force? We’ll soon see.

Meanwhile, it’s been six years since I’ve seen my family (FOO).  And as many since I’ve even talked to some of them.

They live and work in some of the most dangerous places in India, traveling on the most dangerous roads in the world (150,000 deaths a year), in a country with the highest number of terror attacks…and that’s besides the difficulty of just ordinary living in a place with mind-boggling bureaucracy, extreme corruption, non-existent government services (we’re not talking social-security and other kinds of pampering that you find in the west) and a thousand social ills… Nowadays there’s also soaring gas and food prices that make daily living for even the professional class an unending struggle.

Each of these problems can be traced back to some misbegotten government program shoved down the country’s collective throat against the warnings of India’s true national heroes, by some brainless puppets fed by Western foundation (Rockefeller etc.) and grant money.

So by the time the leftists and the corporatists and the NGOs and the rights brigade and the rest of the monotheist one-worlders have meddled (doing good, right?), bribed (moral, right?), blackmailed (heroic, right?), and extorted (fun business, right?) everyone, with the blessings of whatever bunkum leftist or rightist theory is currently being touted  by academic pimps and attention whores, all that’s left for the masses of  ordinary people will be the  intellectual transfat and spiritual aspartame that’s already poisoned the population back home in the West.

War On India: RAW Fighting Back Against Mossad In India

This is from a Wayne Madsen report from February 2012 this year

“An Israeli Chabad sect couple, Rabbi Sheneor Zalman and his wife Yaffa Shenoi, have been told by Kerala police to leave India in fifteen days. The two are suspected by the Indian intelligence, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) of being involved in a covert operation in India linked to the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attack in which six Chabad members were killed in a shootout between Dawood Ibrahim’s Pakistan-based gangsters and the residents of Mumbai’s Chabad House. The incident was reported as a major act of terrorism when, in fact, it was score settling between Ibrahim’s drug syndicate and Chabadniks who were seen as moving in on Ibrahim’s control over the Mumbai drug trade.

WMR has previously reported that Chabad houses around the world are believed by multiple intelligence agencies to be centers for Mossad activity operating under religious “cover.”

RAW agents apparently staked out the couple’s pricey residence in Kochi as late night meetings were conducted with suspect individuals under Indian intelligence surveillance. The Israeli couple had lived in Kochi for almost two years. After being presented with evidence of espionage by the intelligence and police services, the Ernakulum District in Kochi decided to order the Israeli couple deported.

Chabad Jews and Mossad were forced to leave their former base in Goa as a result of increased RAW and federal police surveillance of their activities, believed to include the shipment of heroin from Afghanistan to Southeast Asia in the east and the United Arab Emirates to the west. The Israeli Mossad and Chabad re-located their operations to Kochi, which had replaced Goa as a major drug trans-shipment point.

In addition, Mumbai bombing suspect David Headley is believed to have maintained contact with the Mossad station in Goa prior to the Mumbai terrorist attacks. Headley is believed to have also maintained links with Ibrahim’s crime syndicate in Pakistan and the Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist group in planning false flag terrorist attacks in India. Then the green light for the Mumbai attacks was given, Ibrahim’s men decided to use the occasion to also attack their drug smuggling competitors at the Mumbai Chabad House.

Kochi had, according to WMR’s Indian intelligence sources, also served as a clandestine communications support facility for Israeli Dolphin-class submarines and their contingent of naval divers operating in the Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea. The submarines are believed to be targeting Iran in the event of an outbreak of hostilities between Israel and Iran.

Indian intelligence also believes the Israelis in Kochi were targeting the classified communications of the Indian naval base in Kochi, the headquarters for the Indian Navy’s Southern Command. By targeting the Kochi naval base and the anti-submarine warfare intelligence elements there and at the Indian naval air station on Willingdon Island, the Israelis were capable of providing warning to Israeli forces of Indian, Chinese, American, British, and French warships transiting past the tip of southern India to the Arabian and Red Seas.

Rabbi Zalman and his wife denied all charges against them and insisted they were meeting people day and night as a service to the local Jewish community.

Our sources say that after years of being played by Mossad, RAW has finally taken action against a major Mossad operating cell in the country.

Comment:

Earlier this year, India, like China, had skirted the sanctions imposed on Iran by the US, through barter and rupee accounts, bypassing the dollar altogether.

Recall that January-February (early in the year)  is also when the government began stalling about turning over its evidence to the Rajat Gupta defense, despite repeated requests, following Gupta’s arraignment in October 2011 on federal criminal charges.

It is also the same time that Goldman Sachs stated publicly that it no longer expected criminal charges (paraphrase), even though in August 2011, Blankfein had feared that eventuality enough to go out and hire a criminal defense attorney.

Sometime then, it seems, a deal got struck, involving letting Corzine and Blankfein out of the sights of the prosecution and instead throwing Gupta to the wolves. Hence the bizarre rulings of Judge Rakoff, a friend of the defense attorney and also apparently on good terms with Bharara, who prevented the defense from showing crucial evidence while allowing damaging hearsay from the prosecution.

Do all of these seemingly unrelated events have a common source – increasing tension between the NWO elites and India?
One faction of RAW (Research and Analysis Wing, the Indian intelligence service) reportedly wants to play along with the CIA and Mossad. Another faction wants to show third-world solidarity with Iran and Pakistan.

The RAW crack-down could explain why there was a noticeable intensification of negative media reports on India and pressure on the PM through the derogatory Time cover I blogged about previously.

In response, the Indian government has told Mr. Mittal to stop bashing it.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/news/transatlantic-alliance-between-rothschilds-and-rockefellers-for-wealth-management-7805035.html

Mittal is connected to the Rothschilds through his investments in RIT Capital, through his ownership with Evelyn and Lynn Rothschild of “FirstMark Communications International LLC” and “FieldFresh Foods”.

Evelyn is head of N. M. Rothschild, which has links to the Agora Inc. publishing network, which encompasses the hard money/patriot/libertarian crowd.

[LR: I learned about this connection only after leaving and have blogged about it since then, as much as possible, given my one-time connection to them. In my previous blog posts about them, I noted various associations, but also noted that Agora’s flag-ship publications didn’t seem to promote views similar to what George Soros might be expected to promote. Soros is a Rothschild agent, according to some observers.  However, quite recently,  researching Lakshmi Mittal’s connection with Rothschild, I came across some more evidence of ties between the Agora network and the Rothschilds. If this new evidence pans out, then the Rees-Mogg link  – noted by Bill Engdahl a while back –  is likely also a Rothschild connection.

Agora then would be related to both Rothschild and Rockefeller interests.]

[Note: Recently, another Rothschild, Jacob, bought a 37% stake in David Rockefeller’s business, so both families are consolidating investments.]

Kochi, the focus of Chabad and the drug-trade, is also the site of the killing of two unarmed Indian fishermen by an Italian vessel in February, following which murder charges have been brought against the culprits.

US Navy Kills Indian Fisherman Near Dubai

Update:

To make my original post a bit clearer, you’d have to understand what is called “convergence” by some people. I call it the “commie-capitalist” kiss up.

What this amounts to is this. The elites try to subvert a country by soft and by hard power. The soft power angle is worked by human rights groups intentionally misrepresenting or exaggerating valid social concerns in a way that provokes rioting, secession, terrorism or civil war.

This then gives an excuse for intervention by the hard power arm of the empire (NATO police action, arms sales, legal actions, war financing).

In the case of India, you have a concerted ideological war on Hinduism played out in the looting of temples through communist-dominated/Christian friendly state governments.

Then you have the human rights focus on the plight of Dalits (socially the lowest caste). Their legitimate grievances are amplified and manipulated by Western interests to fracture the social fabric and enable legal action against state and federal governments which ultimately accrue to the benefit of Church-sponsored  NGOs and the Western powers themselves. Thus, in increasingly globalized Tamil Nadu,  Tamil secessionism is encouraged. Rumors of CIA/ Mossad involvement in the area should also not be discounted.

Then you have the communists in the West making common cause in the media with the communists in China (on the one hand)… and on the other, conflating the just demands of the Palestinians in the Middle East with revanchist Caliphate claims in India. This also incites secession among Muslim dominant states.

As someone who believes Asia has always been the main focus of the global elites since the end of WWII, the convenient Muslim terrorism narrative provides cover for both the expansion of Western hard and soft power in Asia, as well as a feint behind which covert operations against alleged allied of the US, like India, are conducted. In that sense, India is less an ally as it is a host incubating a parasite  that will eventually kill it.

Simultaneously, the globalist elites pressure the government through psychological war and cyber-war.  This explains the increase in negative portraits of India, the recurrent attacks on the political leadership for not giving into the demands of multinationals. For example, Arcelor-Mittal CEO  Lakshmi Mittal has  demanded that the Indian economy grow at the rate of 10 percent. The expulsion of Rajat Gupta (connected to Manmohan’s opening of the economy) displays the fist behind Mittal’s request.

Mittal has recently joined the board of Goldman Sachs (2011), and like the bank,  works with Rothschild interests, which were behind the opening of the Indian economy in the 1990s.

ORIGINAL POST

The Statesman reports on American naval fire on an Indian boat off the coast of Dubai.

Although so far it seems to be only an accident,it wouldn’t be far-fetched to wonder if it wasn’t a shot  in the low-grade psy war on India, about which I blogged here (Chinese cybera attacks on Indian naval HQ in Vizag) and here (Time’s derogatory cover of Manmohan Singh) and here (the criminal prosecution of Rajat Gupta, the man who opened up the Indian economy, most likely  by connivance between the government and the banking elites)  and  here (Rajiv Malhotra’s thesis of a US strategy of “breaking India” via  postmodern transnationalism, US intelligence and human rights activism all converging in NGO’s like Wikileaks that act as the soft power arm of  empire).

— An Indian fisherman aboard a boat shot at by the U.S. Navy off Dubai’s coast has told officials the crew received no warning before being fired upon, India’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates said Tuesday. The account differs from that provided by the Navy, which said it resorted to lethal force Monday only after issuing a series of warnings. One Indian was killed in the incident, and three of his countrymen were seriously wounded. The shooting underscored how quickly naval encounters can escalate in the increasingly tense waters of the Gulf.”

Note that this isn’t the first naval accident recently. In February 2012  an Italian cargo ship fired on an Indian trawler off the coast of Kochi in South India, killing two Indians. The equivalent of this would be Barack Obama’s face appearing in The Indian Express with the word ‘loser’ under it; Carly Fiorina arrested and convicted on weak evidence in India, while Indian CEOs guilty of multicrore fraud played witness for the prosecution; Indian and Iranian war ships shooting and killing American fishermen and officers off the coast of Florida and Scotland; and a pallid Indian hacktivist with an arrest record haranguing America on its internal affairs from the pages of a Chinese paper.

War On India: Naval Command Info Hacked By Chinese IP’s

The Indian Express reports on July 1, 2012:

“Hackers have broken into sensitive naval computer systems in and around Visakhapatnam, the headquarters of the Eastern Naval Command, and planted bugs that relayed confidential data to IP addresses in China.

The Eastern Naval Command plans operations and deployments in the South China Sea — the theatre of recent muscle-flexing by Beijing — and beyond. India’s first nuclear missile submarine, INS Arihant, is currently undergoing trials at the Command.

The extent of the loss is still being ascertained, and officials said it was “premature at this stage” to comment on the sensitivity of the compromised data. But the Navy has completed a Board of Inquiry (BoI) which is believed to have indicted at least six mid-level officers for procedural lapses that led to the security breach.

The naval computers were found infected with a virus that secretly collected and transmitted confidential files and documents to Chinese IP addresses. Strict disciplinary action against the indicted officers is imminent.

Responding to a questionnaire sent by The Sunday Express on whether highly classified data had been sent to IP addresses in China due to the bug, the Navy said: “An inquiry has been convened and findings of the report are awaited. It needs to be mentioned that there is a constant threat in the cyber domain from inimical hackers worldwide.”

Sources, however, confirmed that classified data had been leaked, and the breach had possibly occurred because of the use of pen drives that are prohibited in naval offices. The virus was found hidden in the pen drives that were being used to transfer data from standalone computers to other systems, said a person familiar with the investigation.”

Preet Bharara – Overhyped and Toothless

Gary Weiss in Salon

“Yet nowhere in Gabriel Sherman’s well-researched piece in New York is there even one mention of Preet Bharara.

There’s a simple reason for that:  Preet Bharara is not busting Wall Street. He’s not collaring the masters of the meltdown. He’s done nothing to even slightly discomfit Wall Street’s still-ferocious money machine, or has yet to bring to justice the architects, enablers and continuers of the 2008 financial crisis — the bankers who got us into that mess, and the ones who are continuing to extract pain from foreclosed homeowners, in the New York area and beyond.

As a matter of fact, his over-hyped insider-trading prosecutions, the main focus of the Time piece, are doing the Street a favor, by targeting people who actually ripped off Wall Street — individuals like hedge fund managers Raj Rajaratnam and Danielle Chiesi, who functioned a bit like the goons who used to dope race horses in the old days.

Bharara’s insider trading targets rigged the game for their own profit by illegally misappropriating information, in effect stealing from their employers and other investors, just as the horse-dopers cheated racetracks and other betters. Another analogy, also from the racetracks of old, would be to the scam artists who used to “past-post”: bet on races after they knew the outcome.

That’s how insider trading works. It’s a form of theft and cheating. It’s bad. Bharara was right to prosecute them, just as he has aggressively pursued drug gangs in the outer boroughs. But let’s be clear on something: The big players, the Goldman Sachses, Merrill Lynches, Banks of America and so on, don’t like insider trading any more than Preet Bharara does.

And none of his criminal prosecutions to date — including his recent bust of three high-ranking former Credit Suisse execs, accused of rigging the value of mortgage bonds they held in 2008 — had any connection to the pain being felt by Americans today, which can be directly traced to the misconduct of mortgage bankers and derivatives traders in the run-up to the financial crisis.

The real perps of the financial crisis haven’t been in Bharara’s — or the Justice Department’s — cross hairs for a single moment since Barack Obama took office three years ago. It’s one of the most troublesome failings of his administration.”

Rajat Gupta: Did Goldman Frame Gupta To Save Its Skin?

We know that Rajat Gupta was a big Obama supporter.

We know that Goldman Sachs switched its loyalties to Mitt Romney earlier this year, mainly out of animosity to Dodd-Frank, which they claim is crushing the banks.

As early as last year  ThirdPoint LLC, said to be part of a Michael Milken-related market racketeering network, attacked Obama.

[Third Point is a leading hedge-fund that’s  credibly alleged to have colluded with Goldman Sachs in collusive raids on rivals. Documents accidentally released in a lawsuit against Goldman Sachs by Patrick Byrne of Overstock now show that Goldman did in fact pass on non-public information of its clients to select hedge-funds .

ThirdPoint has since cut stakes in Goldman Sachs in March this year, probably sensing that the firm is due for a huge beating.]

GS’s troubles are ongoing.

In March 2012, Greg Smith, a senior manager, trashed the firm, specifically Lloyd Blankfein and Gary Cohn, for corrupting the culture…..as if that were possible.

Two other Goldman executives are under investigation for tipping caught on wire-taps, Henry King and David Loeb.

[This is the evidence that Judge Jed Rakoff wouldn’t let the jury hear. It was the core of the defense’s argument that, not Gupta, but the other proven tipsters at Goldman has passed on the Buffett tip. The jury, confused by hearsay that was wrongly included of Gupta talking about non-public non-material information to Galleon, hung the Galleon case on him and convicted on this insubstantial evidence.]

Last year,  after the SEC first began administrative proceedings against Rajat Gupta (March 2011) we heard that Lloyd Blankfein had hired a big-shot DC criminal attorney (August 23, 2011).

Then, in Feb 2012,  sources close to Goldman reported to the NY Post that the nine month long investigation would likely not lead to criminal charges.

Why not?

How did they become so sure that Blankfein wouldn’t be facing charges?

Did they fix the deal around that time?

Only a month later, March 2012, the defense reluctantly began sending particulars of its charges to Gupta.

Yet it had been investigating Big Raj for a decade, and had been on the Galleon case since 2007.

What took so long? Was there any pressure from Goldman?

Was the fix in by then, and is that why Goldman insiders were so sure that Blankfein would be off the hook?

After all. Gupta is a RETIRED director at Goldman, and his main professional association is with McKinsey, not with Goldman.

He had nothing to do with the trading culture of Goldman that was the source of its problems.

He just sat on a board, which probably met a few times a year. The public, angry at Goldman, wouldn’t know that they’d been fed Gupta, to protect the core of Goldman itself.

Did Blankfein figure out that throwing overboard a South Asian patsy, albeit a powerful one, one associated with the loss of jobs to Americans, would save his skin in the media, dominated, rightly, by anger over the financial crisis?  Did it help that Gupta was also an Obama donor?

That Blankfein had an eye on PR at this time is clear because around the same time that he  made some other interesting moves, as I noted earlier.

1. He announced his support for Romney (January 2012)

2. He told the press that Goldman was in the clear (February 2012)

(This was around the time the defense was asking for particulars of the charges to be sent)

3. Bharara starts sharing Brady material (Feb 2012)

In March 2012, a month later, Bharara was finally forced to disclose what specifically he had on Rajat Gupta.

4. Blankfein was hired as a public spokesman for gay marriage by Human Rights Campaign  (February, 2012).

The timing of all these events is surely extremely suggestive…

Blankfein’s attorney, Reid Weingarten, represented WorldCom CEO, Bernie Ebbers, who was convicted in 2005 of fraudulent accounting, in the largest such scandal in US history until the Bernie Madoff ponzi.

Charles Gasparino at The New York Post:

“Goldman Sachs will not support Obama,” the firm’s CEO, Lloyd Blankfein, muttered at a recent dinner.

It was a meeting with the CEO of Blackrock, Larry Fink, himself another of Wall Street’s top Obama boosters back in 2008. But “Larry is looking for someone to support this time,” a friend of Fink told me.

Blankfein has apparently found his pick. According to people who know him, Blankfein’s bet is that Romney will win the Republican nomination fairly early, putting him in a decent position to win the presidency — and in office does his best to water down some of the more insane aspects of the Dodd-Frank financial-reform law.

Some caveats: Romney barely won the Iowa caucuses and still faces much conservative skepticism about his various flirtations with big government as Massachusetts governor. Goldman still has many committed Democrats, and Wall Street support can be fickle. Blankfein might well reverse his bet if Obama takes a commanding lead in the polls.

But with the polls fairly even, the firm so far seems to be betting big that the GOP base will conclude that Romney has the best chance of winning over independents and beating the president in November. That would allow a reversal of Obama’s most leftist policies — including financial reform, which threatens to strangle Goldman and all the big banks while doing little to address the core problems that led to the 2008 collapse.

What makes Goldman’s move to the right so striking is just how far to the left it was in 2008. The Goldman community gave more than a $1 million to the 2008 Obama campaign, bested only by donors tied to the ultraliberal University of California. But the latest contribution records (through the end of September) show that Goldman-linked givers barely crack the top 20 of Obama donors, with a little more than $50,000 toward his 2012 re-election effort.

By contrast, Goldman-linked donors are Romney’s leading source of corporate campaign cash, spending $367,200 on his 2012 effort so far. That’s nearly $127,000 more than the firm put up for 2008 GOP nominee John McCain.

Not that Goldman has suddenly become a hotbed of Tea Party conservatism. Its beef with Obama is focused almost entirely on Dodd-Frank’s impact on its bottom line.”

Rajat Gupta: Establishment Trying To Spin Jury’s Unholy Haste

Ha ha. The establishment is trying to put out some good spin to cover up for the haste with which this obviously rotten case was tried and resolved.  Good try, but people are shocked with good reason, they can see the fix is in, and all the slanted articles aren’t going to hide the stink rising from this steaming pile of dung that just got offloaded in Manhattan.

Here’s the Wall Street Journal, spinning like top:

“During the four-week trial of former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. director Rajat Gupta, juror David Klein often glanced in different directions than his fellow jurors.

“When they were intently focused on a witness on the stand, Mr. Klein would be eyeing Mr. Gupta,” said defense trial consultant Julie Blackman.

Mr. Klein, 53 years old, initially voted to acquit Mr. Gupta on all counts, the only holdout among the 12 jurors in the insider-trading case, according to jurors.

In an interview, Mr. Klein said he wanted to approach the case methodically. “The case was based entirely on circumstantial evidence that warranted more scrutiny,” he said. “I didn’t think it was something we should rush into.”

Rajat Gupta: The N****** Of Wall Street

(Source: Jury Representativeness: It’s No Joke In the State of New York http://papers.ccpr.ucla.edu/papers/PWP-DUKE-2011-001/PWP-DUKE-2011-001.pdf)

Ash Jen comments on an article at The Economist, “An Unlucky Man,” on the Rajat Gupta verdict:

1. David Sokol, an executive of Berkshire traded on his own account based on information available to Berkshire executives. There was NO case bought against him even when there is 10x more evidence available against him and who [sic] made couple of million dollars directly.

[Lila: Did they wire-tap Warren Buffet and Sokol?]

2. The other Goldman guy who provided information to Rajaratnam still works for Goldman. There was no case bought against him either.

[Lila; Commenter is referring to David Loeb. He doesn’t mention, mind you, Henry King and Mr. X, as well as a possible fourth person at Goldman tipping Galleon, and the multiple employees who had worked at both Galleon and Goldman. He doesn’t mention Blankfein and Gary Cohn who were named publicly by their own senior manager, Greg Smith, in March this year as being the source of Goldman corruption. Rajat Gupta was not mentioned by Smith.  Was Smith wire-tapped? Has he been subpoenaed. Of course, Smith, who joined in 2000, wants us to believe Goldman was just bouncing corporate babies on its knees until then. Haha, as the financial press, belatedly points out, and toldja! since we pointed this out repeatedly much earlier.

3. John Edwards clearly violated the rules of election fund [sic]. He got away scot free.

[Lila: He should have. It was a stupid vindictive case]

4. Mr. Corzine is another name.

[Lila: Now we’re talking]

All, I am saying is Indians are blacks of white collar crime in this country. For same level of evidence, they are prosecuted at a much higher rate than white guys. This is exactly what happens for blacks for low level criminal activity.

Black defendants are convicted at an 81 percent rate and white defendants at a 66 percent rate in an all white jury.

When the jury pool includes at least one black potential juror, conviction rates are almost identical.”
