Three Narratives About The Massive Troop Presence In DC

NOQReport sums up different narratives about the presence of massive numbers of troops in DC:

“Right now there are two mainstream ideas as to what is really going on with Washington DC’s military control. The mainstream narrative is that it’s a natural reaction to the violence that occurred on the Capitol Building on January 6th. The problem with this theory is that there have been no credible calls for an armed protest on Inauguration Day. In fact, Conservative voices have been telling people to stay home and to NOT come to DC. The only credible report that I could find of ANYONE planning on showing up was the Boogaloo Boys, but they are so few in number, that would not warrant the 35,000+ troops on the ground.

On the Conservative side, there’s the claim that this is Donald Trump playing 5D chess, and that the military is there to arrest all of the Deep State who are traitors to the United States of America. They cite the fact that there are fences facing inward, which appear to be designed to keep people IN as opposed to OUT. Now, if that happens, that would be epic and a total Trump move. But is that the game plan, or is there something more sinister going on?

Could this be yet another setup by the Deep State to take out conservatives once and for all. Just as much of the Capitol Riots were designed as a setup to discredit the Conservative Movement, this could be yet another one. They are setting the stage that the Right is extremely violent, and the visual cue for that is the thousands of troops protecting our nation’s capitol. But what happens if there’s an attempt of violence that they thwart or actually allow to occur? This could justify the outright targeting and persecution of all conservatives, treated as an enemy of the state.”

Well, this is was always one of my great fears and the reason I didn’t vote for PDJT the first time around. I thought his whole presidency might be a Trojan horse to discredit conservatives.

I don’t think that now, having watched him for 4 years. And right now, I don’t think this is a set up. The other side is absolutely desperate and the infiltration of the Jan 6 rally, like the hacking of the election software, is a Hail Satan pass born out of sheer desperation at the persisting support for PDJT.

German Experts: Covid-19 Panic, Fake News; Lockdown, Real Killer

From Strategic-Culture:

“Germany’s federal government and mainstream media are engaged in damage control after a report that challenges the established Corona narrative leaked from the interior ministry.

Some of the report key passages are:

  • The dangerousness of Covid-19 was overestimated: probably at no point did the danger posed by the new virus go beyond the normal level.
  • The people who die from Corona are essentially those who would statistically die this year, because they have reached the end of their lives and their weakened bodies can no longer cope with any random everyday stress (including the approximately 150 viruses currently in circulation).
  • Worldwide, within a quarter of a year, there has been no more than 250,000 deaths from Covid-19, compared to 1.5 million deaths [25,100 in Germany] during the influenza wave 2017/18.
  • The danger is obviously no greater than that of many other viruses. There is no evidence that this was more than a false alarm.
  • A reproach could go along these lines: During the Corona crisis the State has proved itself as one of the biggest producers of Fake News.

So far, so bad. But it gets worse.

The report focuses on the “manifold and heavy consequences of the Corona measures” and warns that these are “grave”.

More people are dying because of state-imposed Corona-measures than they are being killed by the virus.

The reason is a scandal in the making:

A Corona-focused German healthcare system is postponing life-saving surgery and delaying or reducing treatment for non-Corona patients.

Berlin in Denial Mode. The scientists fight back.

Initially, the government tried to dismiss the report as “the work of one employee”, and its contents as “his own opinion” – while the journalists closed ranks, no questions asked, with the politicians.

But the 93-pages report titled “Analysis of the Crisis Management” has been drafted by a scientific panel appointed by the interior ministry and composed by external medical experts from several German universities.

The report was the initiative of a department of the interior ministry called Unit KM4 and in charge with the “Protection of critical infrastructures”.

This is also where the German official turned whistleblower, Stephen Kohn, work(ed), and from where he leaked it to the media.”

Mays Fired From Their Jobs

The NY Times reports:

“Two U.S. State Department employees in India have been removed from their posts for writing racist Facebook comments about their host country.

Wayne May, head of the security team for the U.S. embassy in New Delhi, and his wife Alicia Muller May, the embassy’s community liaison officer, posted messages during their three years in India about how “bizarre” the country was and in one instance joked about “vegetarians that are doing the raping” in response to the gruesome wave of violence in the country.

Well, the Mays should go, but not for being racists.  For being dumb. They can feel anyway they want to about India or Indians. However, as long as they represent this country to India, they ought to keep their feelings to themselves. The Mays could also have been posted elsewhere, where they would have felt comfortable.

Of course, the Mays are also welcome to comment in future at my blog, since I love outrageous commentary, and, as you can see from the way I engage with the underworld of American blogging, I am very gentle with the confused and intellectually-challenged..

Let’s be clear, the Mays were fall guys in all this.

There is no way a caper that had Bharara, the US State Dpt, the US Marshals, some Delhi police, the entire NGO world, and the major media all lined up together on one side, could have taken place without anything but the full sanction of some big bosses.

Please note the pecking order.

Notice that when the NGOs and the State Dpt. and the Human Rights folk were lined up with the maid, Devyani Khobragade couldn’t get a fair shake in the mainstream papers. You couldn’t open a page without hearing a lecture about the “slavery” routinely practiced by Indian barbarians.

We already knew about the Mays by then, but no one thought to fire them for having circumvented the judiciary of a sovereign nation.

But, as soon as Mr. May and his wife, who executed what was probably conceived at higher levels, got caught by social media in unpleasant remarks – oh, then, and only then, do the moral arbiters of the universe become outraged.

In other words, fire the guy for dumb remarks his wife made on social media, probably not intended to be seen.

[Sorry, correction: they were posting OPENLY on Facebook, which, in the circumstances, is really stupid.  Also, the FB pages were not hacked. Nor were they doctored in any way.  That’s just damage-control spin being put out by the army of intelligence hacks employed to keep public perceptions thoroughly spun.]

So, this is how it goes – fire May for comments made by his wife on FB, but don’t fire May for his part in circumventing/obstructing the Indian judiciary, enabling visa fraud ( T3 visa to Sangeeta Richard, when she she was already facing criminal charges in India); or for concocting either a trumped-up or badly exaggerated case that led to custodial rape of a senior married female diplomat; or for committing various crimes in India (tax-fraud and smuggling).

Makes sense?

This plot wasn’t put together by some agent. It was choreographed by someone higher at the State Department.

Edward Snow-Job? (Updated)

uPDATE (jUNE 15)

I reread my posts and think that I’m far too cavalier in my language about Ellsberg and Greenwald (although not Assange). I do NOT mean that Ellsberg was NOT  a whistle-blower. Of course, he was. And a brave one. I mean that he has since then seemed to be used to endorse establishment positions. His role, I believe, was part of a “limited hangout” for the establishment. To what extent he is actually complicit in that role, I don’t know. I give him the benefit of the doubt. The establishment has many means at its disposable to make people amenable to playing its game.  I should clarify, again, it is not Ellsberg himself, but the role he is allowed to play that I find suspicious.

Same goes for Greenwald. He may well believe in Snowden.  He may well have WANTED to believe. But, in my opinion, his bona fides have been used in this case.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE

More manufactured “dissent” and intelligence-funded “revelations” that everyone already knows endorsed by that lovable mouthpiece, Glenn Greenwald…whose general point of view I otherwise endorse.

Notice Snowden’s props for Ron Paul, whose credibility has already been compromised.

Snowden joins the tediously long list of intel-manufactured whistleblowers, from old faithful Daniel Ellsberg to such recent star-turns as Julian of the Rothschilds, Bradley what’s-it, Brandon Multi-level Silver Marketer Raub, Madman Kokesh, the Non-Pauls, and all the other entertaining props and faux revolutionaries of NWO theater…

From Willy Loman:

“Obviously, I stand by my original theory on all of this… it’s part of an elaborate scheme by the intelligence complex themselves to create unrest or at least the narrative of unrest prior to the summer of discontent in America. The “hero” whistle-blower is actually a career NSA agent, former CIA spook who trained to be Special Forces (unconventional warfare)

He is breathlessly revered by the Guardian as the next best thing to happen to democracy since Daniel Ellsberg and Bradley Manning yet what he “leaked” is well known to anyone paying attention over the past few years.

The paper describes him as having a bumper sticker on his laptop that reads “I support Online Rights: Electronic Frontier Foundation” as well as having a copy of Angler, the biography of former vice-president Dick Cheney sitting on his hotel bed. Oh, the duality of the guy. Does anyone wonder how he was working at the NSA and the CIA for a company like Booz Allen Hamilton with an Electronic Frontier Foundation bumper sticker on his laptop?

Glenn Greenwald’s secret whistle-blower has exposed himself for reasons yet unknown. Well, I’ll tell you one of the reasons, they got sick of Greenwald doing all those interviews, now they got “their guy” front and center to take the spotlight off Glenn.

His name is Edward Snowden and by his own account he is a very high-paid employee of NSA contractor Booz Allen Hamilton. He’s been with them for at least 4 years working at the NSA facility in Hawaii.

According to a Guardian article which revealed his name, the guy is now hiding out in Hong Kong, which he readily offers up himself, in a “nice” hotel, sitting in his room with some kind of blanket hood over his head and laptop.

He claims he doesn’t want to live in a world like this… but it didn’t seem to bother him for 4 years while he was raking in $200,000 a year living like a king in Hawaii with his girlfriend.

The Guardian story is full of praise of this guy and they make sure to tell you to consider him a hero. Here’s our new hero’s background:

“In 2003, he enlisted in the US army and began a training program to join the Special Forces.”

“After that, he got his first job in an NSA facility, working as a security guard for one of the agency’s covert facilities at the University of Maryland. From there, he went to the CIA, where he worked on IT security. His understanding of the internet and his talent for computer programming enabled him to rise fairly quickly for someone who lacked even a high school diploma.

By 2007, the CIA stationed him with diplomatic cover in Geneva, Switzerland. His responsibility for maintaining computer network security meant he had clearance to access a wide array of classified documents.”

“He left the CIA in 2009 in order to take his first job working for a private contractor that assigned him to a functioning NSA facility, stationed on a military base in Japan” Guardian

Aside from the obvious sticky sweet nature of the Guardian article and the ham-handed props they adorned his hotel room with, he does give a few clues as to both his where-abouts and his mission:

“On May 20, he boarded a flight to Hong Kong, where he has remained ever since.”

“It is a plush hotel and, what with eating meals in his room too, he has run up big bills.”

“”We have got a CIA station just up the road – the consulate here in Hong Kong – and I am sure they are going to be busy for the next week. And that is a concern I will live with for the rest of my life, however long that happens to be.””  Guardian

So he’s in a plush hotel right up the road from the CIA station in Hong Kong “running up bills” on his credit card. That shouldn’t take the CIA or the NSA or ANYONE more than a few minutes with Google to figure out where he is.

Notice something else… MAY 20th

How does that factor into what I wrote the other day?

Facebook page of Sam Bacile

Policymic managed to capture the Facebook page of Sam Bacile, before it was deleted:

“There was until Wednesday a Facebook page (since deleted) belonging to a “Sam Bassel,” that described the account owner as a “movie-maker” in Hollywood, California. The first activity on the account is dated September 7, and is a comment in Arabic on a Facebook post about Terry Jones:

A crude Google Chrome translation of the text reads:

Several Facebook friends of “Bassel” appear to be figures within the Coptic Christian community, including Abba Seraphim El-Suriani, Head of the British Orthodox Church within the Coptic Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria.

Another post on the page of “Bassel” leads to an essay supposedly written by Mohamed Yousry, the former translator for Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, the blind Egpytian cleric serving a life sentence in the U.S. after being convited in 1996 of plotting terrorist attacks. Yousry himself was later convicted in 2006 of providing material support to terrorism and served prison time. He was released in April 2011. “

Anti-Islamic movie made by convicted Californian fraudster

Update: The Daily Bell is running with this story today, a little late in the day.

( We wrote about Gladio in 2005…..)

Meanwhile, it was  the mainstream media that actually did the best job of putting together the story yesterday.

The alternatives mostly swallowed the “Israeli Jews did it” red herring.

Fortunately, I took my own advice and waited for more reports…

In other words, it’s not a psyop by “Jews”….it might not even be a psyop by “Muslim Brothers” made to look like a psyop by “Jews”.

It could be a psyop by the “Jews” or the “Christians” made to look like a psyop by “Muslim Brothers” made to look like a psyop by “Jews.”

Or even deeper.

I’ve figured out a bit more than this, but I won’t be putting that research on the net. ….

ORIGINAL POST

The hunt for the man behind the offensive anti-Muslim film gets weirder by the hour.

Jeffrey Goldberg at “The Atlantic Wire” writes:

“I asked him who he thought Sam Bacile was. He said that there are about 15 people associated with the making of the film, “Nobody is anything but an active American citizen. They’re from Syria, Turkey, Pakistan, they’re some that are from Egypt. Some are Copts but the vast majority are Evangelical.”

What are we to make of Steve Klein’s assertions? I’m taking everything about this strange and horrible episode with a grain of salt, though I will say that I haven’t seen any proof yet that Sam Bacile is an actual Israeli Jew, or that the name is anything other than a pseudonym. More to come, undoubtedly.”

Just yesterday I posted a piece advising people to take everything in the major media as a psyop.

It turned out to be good advice.

The first reports (see this Guardian piece) said that the  horrible and tragic murder of the American ambassador in Libya, Christopher Stevens, had been triggered by a video made by an Israeli Jew.

Other reports claimed that Bacile was a Coptic Christian Israeli, not a Jew.

But the latest reports tell a different story.

It seems that all the 15 people involved in the making of the inflammatory anti-Islamic movie (“The Innocence of Muslims”) were American citizens and most were Evangelical Christians. Some were Coptics.

It seems that the $5 million that allegedly went into the making of the film produced an amateurish work of questionable values shown for a day at L.A.’s Vine theater.

It seems that Hollywood is a bit puzzled about who Sam Bacile is. He isn’t a known name.

One of the consultants on the film, Steve Klein, turns out to be  a counter-terrorism expert in California, who belongs to an ultra-conservative Christian group. He published a strongly anti-Islamic tract last year.

The Guardian:

Bacile has virtually no footprint in the Hollywood community. The writer-director-producer has no agent listed on the IMDBPro website and no credits on any film or TV production.

Steve Klein, a “consultant” on the film, describes himself as a Vietnam veteran, counter-terrorism expert and board member of an ultra-conservative group, Courageous Christians United. In 2010, he self-published a book, Is Islam compatible with the Constitution?, which assails Islam’s treatment of women.

Bacile was also linked to Morris Sadik, an Egyptian Coptic Christian based in California who runs a small virulently Islamophobic group called the National American Coptic Assembly. He promoted a clip of the film last week.”

Daily Kos has lots more about consultant Steve Klein and his extremist belief that California is dotted with Muslim Brotherhood cells (or Al Qaeda cells, in another version of the story) waiting to explode; who led a hunter-killer team as a Marine in Vietnam, has minuteman ties, and engages in armed confrontations near abortion clinics and Mormon churches.

Another weird twist is that the film was apparently altered unknown to the original actors and writers to convey insults to Islam:

In an even stranger twist, NPR’s Sarah Abdurrahman noticed that every specific reference to Muhammad or Islam in the movie’s trailer appears to be dubbed over what the actors actually said. Without the lines that insult Islam, the trailer “reads like some cheesy Arabian Nights story,” Abdurrahman writes. In a statement given to CNN, the cast and crew of the film said they were “grossly misled” about the movie’s purpose and said they feel “taken advantage of.” One of the film’s actors told Gawker that the cast was told they were acting in a movie called “Dessert Warriors,” and had no idea it would be altered to have an anti-Islam message. She said the film’s director, whom she now plans to sue, said he was Egyptian.

In the latest news, reported at NPR, it turns out that Bacile has been convicted for financial fraud.

“Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, 55, told The Associated Press in an interview outside Los Angeles that he was manager for the company that produced “Innocence of Muslims,” which mocked Muslims and the prophet Mohammed and was implicated in inflaming mobs that attacked U.S. missions in Egypt and Libya. He provided the first details about a shadowy production group behind the film.

Nakoula denied he directed the film and said he knew the self-described filmmaker, Sam Bacile. But the cellphone number that AP contacted Tuesday to reach the filmmaker who identified himself as Sam Bacile traced to the same address near Los Angeles where AP found Nakoula. Federal court papers said Nakoula’s aliases included Nicola Bacily, Erwin Salameh and others.

Nakoula told the AP that he was a Coptic Christian and said the film’s director supported the concerns of Christian Copts about their treatment by Muslims.

Nakoula denied he had posed as Bacile. During a conversation outside his home, he offered his driver’s license to show his identity but kept his thumb over his middle name, Basseley. Records checks by the AP subsequently found it and other connections to the Bacile persona.”

Nakoula isn’t some petty wrong-doer either:

“Nakoula, who talked guardedly about his role, pleaded no contest in 2010 to federal bank fraud charges in California and was ordered to pay more than $790,000 in restitution. He was also sentenced to 21 months in federal prison and ordered not to use computers or the Internet for five years without approval from his probation officer.”

And this:

“Nobody is anything but an active American citizen,” Klein told the Atlantic. “They’re from Syria, Turkey, Pakistan, there are some that are from Egypt. Some are Copts but the vast majority are evangelical.”

Klein told the AP that he vowed to help make the movie but warned the filmmaker that “you’re going to be the next Theo van Gogh.” Van Gogh was a Dutch filmmaker killed by a Muslim extremist in 2004 after making a film that was perceived as insulting to Islam.

Question: If you make a film with the foreknowledge that it might result in someone being killed, is that an act of incitation?

The NPR piece (above) also tells us that after first considering the killing of the American ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, as an act of mob violence,  US authorities are now looking into whether it was a terrorist attack intended to coincide with 9-11.

I would advise them first to check if this was a staged US-Israeli false-flag intended to justify war and end foreign aid to Muslim countries ( an issue coming up next week).

Note: I think the government should not be aiding any country,  Arab or anything else.

Rajat Gupta: Did Goldman Frame Gupta To Save Its Skin?

We know that Rajat Gupta was a big Obama supporter.

We know that Goldman Sachs switched its loyalties to Mitt Romney earlier this year, mainly out of animosity to Dodd-Frank, which they claim is crushing the banks.

As early as last year  ThirdPoint LLC, said to be part of a Michael Milken-related market racketeering network, attacked Obama.

[Third Point is a leading hedge-fund that’s  credibly alleged to have colluded with Goldman Sachs in collusive raids on rivals. Documents accidentally released in a lawsuit against Goldman Sachs by Patrick Byrne of Overstock now show that Goldman did in fact pass on non-public information of its clients to select hedge-funds .

ThirdPoint has since cut stakes in Goldman Sachs in March this year, probably sensing that the firm is due for a huge beating.]

GS’s troubles are ongoing.

In March 2012, Greg Smith, a senior manager, trashed the firm, specifically Lloyd Blankfein and Gary Cohn, for corrupting the culture…..as if that were possible.

Two other Goldman executives are under investigation for tipping caught on wire-taps, Henry King and David Loeb.

[This is the evidence that Judge Jed Rakoff wouldn’t let the jury hear. It was the core of the defense’s argument that, not Gupta, but the other proven tipsters at Goldman has passed on the Buffett tip. The jury, confused by hearsay that was wrongly included of Gupta talking about non-public non-material information to Galleon, hung the Galleon case on him and convicted on this insubstantial evidence.]

Last year,  after the SEC first began administrative proceedings against Rajat Gupta (March 2011) we heard that Lloyd Blankfein had hired a big-shot DC criminal attorney (August 23, 2011).

Then, in Feb 2012,  sources close to Goldman reported to the NY Post that the nine month long investigation would likely not lead to criminal charges.

Why not?

How did they become so sure that Blankfein wouldn’t be facing charges?

Did they fix the deal around that time?

Only a month later, March 2012, the defense reluctantly began sending particulars of its charges to Gupta.

Yet it had been investigating Big Raj for a decade, and had been on the Galleon case since 2007.

What took so long? Was there any pressure from Goldman?

Was the fix in by then, and is that why Goldman insiders were so sure that Blankfein would be off the hook?

After all. Gupta is a RETIRED director at Goldman, and his main professional association is with McKinsey, not with Goldman.

He had nothing to do with the trading culture of Goldman that was the source of its problems.

He just sat on a board, which probably met a few times a year. The public, angry at Goldman, wouldn’t know that they’d been fed Gupta, to protect the core of Goldman itself.

Did Blankfein figure out that throwing overboard a South Asian patsy, albeit a powerful one, one associated with the loss of jobs to Americans, would save his skin in the media, dominated, rightly, by anger over the financial crisis?  Did it help that Gupta was also an Obama donor?

That Blankfein had an eye on PR at this time is clear because around the same time that he  made some other interesting moves, as I noted earlier.

1. He announced his support for Romney (January 2012)

2. He told the press that Goldman was in the clear (February 2012)

(This was around the time the defense was asking for particulars of the charges to be sent)

3. Bharara starts sharing Brady material (Feb 2012)

In March 2012, a month later, Bharara was finally forced to disclose what specifically he had on Rajat Gupta.

4. Blankfein was hired as a public spokesman for gay marriage by Human Rights Campaign  (February, 2012).

The timing of all these events is surely extremely suggestive…

Blankfein’s attorney, Reid Weingarten, represented WorldCom CEO, Bernie Ebbers, who was convicted in 2005 of fraudulent accounting, in the largest such scandal in US history until the Bernie Madoff ponzi.

Charles Gasparino at The New York Post:

“Goldman Sachs will not support Obama,” the firm’s CEO, Lloyd Blankfein, muttered at a recent dinner.

It was a meeting with the CEO of Blackrock, Larry Fink, himself another of Wall Street’s top Obama boosters back in 2008. But “Larry is looking for someone to support this time,” a friend of Fink told me.

Blankfein has apparently found his pick. According to people who know him, Blankfein’s bet is that Romney will win the Republican nomination fairly early, putting him in a decent position to win the presidency — and in office does his best to water down some of the more insane aspects of the Dodd-Frank financial-reform law.

Some caveats: Romney barely won the Iowa caucuses and still faces much conservative skepticism about his various flirtations with big government as Massachusetts governor. Goldman still has many committed Democrats, and Wall Street support can be fickle. Blankfein might well reverse his bet if Obama takes a commanding lead in the polls.

But with the polls fairly even, the firm so far seems to be betting big that the GOP base will conclude that Romney has the best chance of winning over independents and beating the president in November. That would allow a reversal of Obama’s most leftist policies — including financial reform, which threatens to strangle Goldman and all the big banks while doing little to address the core problems that led to the 2008 collapse.

What makes Goldman’s move to the right so striking is just how far to the left it was in 2008. The Goldman community gave more than a $1 million to the 2008 Obama campaign, bested only by donors tied to the ultraliberal University of California. But the latest contribution records (through the end of September) show that Goldman-linked givers barely crack the top 20 of Obama donors, with a little more than $50,000 toward his 2012 re-election effort.

By contrast, Goldman-linked donors are Romney’s leading source of corporate campaign cash, spending $367,200 on his 2012 effort so far. That’s nearly $127,000 more than the firm put up for 2008 GOP nominee John McCain.

Not that Goldman has suddenly become a hotbed of Tea Party conservatism. Its beef with Obama is focused almost entirely on Dodd-Frank’s impact on its bottom line.”

Possible Mossad Links to Killing of Syrian Man In Hungary?

Last, week there was another killing suspected to be the work of the Israeli intelligence agency, Mossad. This one was in Budapest, Hungary. The dead man was supposedly involved in money laundering. Hungarian officials have since played down the connection, but it was widely reported there, as well as in Israel and Russia.

“On Wednesday March 17, just after seven in the morning, Dr Bassam Trache, a 52-year-old veterinary surgeon with dual Syrian and Hungarian citizenship, was shot dead in his black Mercedes at a junction in Budapest’s 16th district. The killer grabbed a black briefcase from the car and made off on foot.

Dr Trache, it was revealed, operated a money-changing business. A few years ago he was acquitted in court of attempting to bribe – with jewellery and Arab cakes – the head of the Budapest police’s money-changing investigation division.

At first, his murder was regarded as yet another killing connected with the shady world of money-changing; in the past ten years, there have been no fewer than 123 murders connected with the business in Budapest.

But then a more fantastic theory to explain Dr Trache’s murder emerged.

It transpired that on the very day that Trache was killed, two Israeli Gulfstream V-type jets were spotted flying low over the Hungarian capital, leading to speculation that, just two months after the assassination in Dubai of Hamas commander Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, the Syrian might have been the victim of a Mossad hit…..”

That’s from The First Post ( UK), which goes on to list some of the puzzling inconsistencies in the government’s statements that have been fueling the rumor.

“Last week, however, it was announced that a leading official of the NKH had been sacked, with a further four members of staff disciplined, over their failure to consult Hungary’s secret services before issuing a permit for the Israeli aircraft to enter Hungarian airspace.

And while Szollar claimed that Israel’s flying manoeuvres were merely “routine”, Hungary’s transport minister, Peter Honig, conceded that they were not fully in line with Hungarian laws. Then the Hungary’s HirTV claimed that the Israeli ambassador to Hungary, though denying the term “spy planes”, had referred to the planes as reconnaissance jets.”

The New York Post has reported that the Israeli ambassador told the Hungarian news agency MTI that the jets were on a diplomatic mission and were not spying. The NY Post said the Hungarian government had declined to comment on this response.

Another newspaper, MY Sun, reported that it was Hungarian officials who claimed the jets were on a diplomatic mission.

In a Reuters report, Hungarian spokesman Domokos Szollar stated that the jets were in “routine training” and Israel had cleared the overflights with Hungary two months in advance. Szollar explained the earlier confusion by officials as a case of bad internal communications. Apparently, the Hungarian defense department hadn’t been notified, and so, on first hearing of the flights, PM Gordon Bajnai had ordered an investigation.

The head of Budapest’s criminal investigations team, Zsolt Bodnar, reportedly dismissed allegations about a Mossad link as “fiction.”

I’m going ahead, nonetheless, and posting this video, because it happens to follow two far more substantial stories I’m also watching: the story about documented Mossad links to the murder of a Hamas operative in Dubai, as well as the possible Mossad ties of David Headley, the CIA operative who admitted to being guilty of the Mumbai terror attack of November 2008, at the time blamed on Islamicists. All three events together form a news story that’s quite riveting, especially since it accompanies the continual drum-beat for war with Iran. This story also suggests that any arrests for domestic terrorism need to be looked at with a great deal of skepticism, at this point.

At this point, I should repeat, the forgery of the passports in the killing of the Hamas official is documented; any ties to Headley are very plausible but so far unproven (and have not been reported in the mainstream press, for that’s worth); and the Hungarian story seems to be still in the “allegations” stage.

Gold, Silver, and “Suspicious Foreigners”

Mark Mitchell comments on the CFTC hearings and the manipulation of trading of gold and silver derivatives (read IOUs):

“Maguire added: “What’s going to happen, if you’re an Asian trader, or a non-Western trader, who has no loyalty, or doesn’t care about homeland security or anything else, who says, now wait a minute, if I can establish in my mind that there is 100 ounces of paper gold, paper silver for example, for each ounce of real silver, than I have a naked short situation here that I can squeeze and they can go on the spot market which is basically a foreign exchange transaction, short dollar, long silver to any amount they want – billions, trillions — whatever they want, and they can take this market, squeeze this market, and blow it up…”

In other words, the problem isn’t just that criminal naked short sellers manipulate the metals market downwards. It is that they have created a condition where a foreign entity can merely demand delivery of real metal to induce a massive “squeeze” that sends the price of metals skyrocketing, putting huge downward pressure on the dollar. Meanwhile, says Maguire, with prices rising, “for 100 customers who show up there is only one guy who is going to get his gold or silver and there’s 99 who will be disappointed, so without any new money coming into the market, just asking for that gold and silver will create a default.”

This would be a point, except…except..

1. This kind of fraudulent activity in the markets in the West is going to be seen by most foreigners as a direct act of financial aggression against them, not just domestic market participants. You can’t admit that your entire market system is rigged in favor of US and European banks, and then expect that the rest of the world is just going to stand there and not retaliate in some way…with justification.

Turnabout is fair play. Defense is not offense.

2.  I doubt that Chinese, Saudis or any other foreigners are interested in squeezing the dollar, since they are the primary holders of dollars. In international markets, the dollar is still the reserve currency and most people save in it. Nor is the American middle class, loyal or disloyal, going to want a weaker dollar. They earn their money in dollars. The only people likely to attack the dollar are speculators, who will do it because they see a gain to be made from it. And the people most likely to do it successfully are the same people who are involved in manipulating it in the first place...the corrupt bankers and financiers who’ve got the most to gain in this and the least to lose.

Nothing that Paulson, Greenspan, Geithner, Summers, or Bernanke have been doing adds up to anything like a “strong dollar” policy. They’ve done everything but shout “bail” to dollar holders.
