UN legal body endorses Khobragade’s immunity

Anil Nauriya, who advocates before the Supreme Court of India, has added an important point (in the Comment section):

Regarding the arrest of a Consular official, the Vienna Convention requires that this may be done [in the case of a grave offence] “pursuant to a decision by the competent judicial authority”?

The question is whether even a PRE-TRIAL judicial warrant of arrest would be such a “decision”.
The focus in much of the discussion has been on the meaning of “grave offence”.

I would argue yet another aspect of the question : that the pre-trial arrest even of a Consular Official [without full diplomatic Immunity] is of doubtful legality and, in any event,  had to be the subject of a pre-arrest hearing leading to a pre-arrest judicial decision on such liability for pre-trial and pre-indictment arrest.

Before such a pre-arrest hearing, all that the “competent judicial authority” could have done is to issue a summons and pass an order preventing the Consular official from leaving the US pending such a pre-arrest hearing.

The Deccan Herald reports that the UN legal office supports Khobragade’s claim:

” A United Nations agency has endorsed New Delhi’s claim that Indian Foreign Service officer Devyani Khobragade enjoyed full diplomatic immunity when she was arrested by the United States law-enforcement officials in New York on December 12 last.

The opinion of the UN Office of Legal Affairs (OLA) supports New Delhi’s argument that Khobragade enjoyed full immunity at the time of her arrest as she had already been accredited to the international organisation as a representative of India since August last year.

Khobragade’s lawyers have cited the UN OLA’s view in a court in Manhattan to counter the recent move by Preet Bharara, the US district attorney for southern district of New York, to dismiss New Delhi’s claim.

Stephen Mathias, UN Assistant Secretary General for Legal Affairs, on January 27 last wrote to India’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the international organisation conveying the UN OLA’s views on the issue. ”

He wrote that representatives of all members of the United Nations “to the principal and subsidiary organs of the United Nations and to conferences convened by the United Nations, while exercising their functions and during their journey to and from the place of meeting, enjoy the privileges and immunities set forth in Section 11 of the General Convention”.

War On India: Spy Ship Linked to Spy Maid Story?

Colonel Anil Athale  at rediff.com sees a connection between the “fake slave-nanny” and an anti-piracy ship owned by Virginia-based AdvanFort.

Virginia, a state bordering Washington DC, is the home of the CIA and of hundreds, if not thousands, of high-tech firms servicing the US government’s espionage industry, either directly or as contractors and partners.

Sometimes the connections get shadier. For eg. in one case in Virginia, the CIA apparently even hired a bank-robber to test the security of Washington-area banks.

Virginia and Maryland are among the states most dependent on the defense industry for revenues.

Athale writes:

“It seems more likely that the New York incident is connected to India detaining an anti-piracy ship owned by a US security firm.

The Sierra Leone-flagged ship, the Seaman Guard Ohio, belongs to the Virginia-based AdvanFort, a maritime security firm that specialises in anti-piracy operations.

The ship is held in the southern port of Tuticorin along with 10 crew members and 25 armed security guards.

The crew and security guards included British, Estonian, Indian and Ukrainian nationals.

The ship’s crew has been accused of obtaining subsidised fuel without authority. Bail for the crew has been denied.

The curious aspect of this case is that the ship is licensed to patrol the eastern Indian Ocean and Gulf. The sailors or ‘contractors’ are in the Indian judicial system and not likely to be let off easily.

To those who doubt this connection, a reminder that the US, including its President, went to extreme lengths to save Raymond Davis who was charged with murder in Pakistan.

It seems very likely that a compromise will soon be found to circumvent the judicial process in the US and in India.

The Indian diplomat will be off the hook and the ship with its crew will be released. However, these episodes raise a question mark on the future of India-US relations.

Coming close on the heels of the American non-cooperation in the David Headley case, this will leave a bitter taste.

What is extraordinary is the utter American insensitivity to public opinion in India — a rare country in which survey after survey showed the US as a popular country in the public perception.

Indians seem to have underestimated the strength of American self-perception of its ‘Exceptionalism’.

The Americans believe that they are the champions of human rights and religious rights and American justice is second to none. They also have legal systems in place that puts American law over international treaties and other nations’ laws.

Most of the world, especially after the scandal of the US National Security Agency snooping over communications in Europe, Asia and Africa with no distinction made between allies and enemies, see the US as a global sheriff, not just a global cop.

To an outsider, the US increasingly looks like a capitalist USSR, complete with its Big Brother snooping, its own Gulag at Guantanamo, its own version of Pravda in The New York Times and Izvestia in the Washington Post!

Even after the current impasse is resolved, Indians would do well to be strictly reciprocal in all dealings with the US and not keep all our eggs in a single basket.”

Indian Maid’s Lawyer, Funded by Ford, McArthur, Euro Govts

The lawyer who represented the husband of the Indian maid, Sangeeta Richard, is  one Tariq Adeeb. He represented Philip Richard, when Richard filed a case against Devyani Khobragade, the Indian diplomat who hired Sangeeta as her nanny in New York.

After Sangeeta absconded from the Devyani Khobragade house-hold, taking some cash, a blackberry phone, two SIM cards, a metro card worth about $130, and some documents including contracts and a signed receipt-book-cum-work-hour-log, according to the Mail Online, India ($200 in this account, which has no reference).

Later, Philip, still in Delhi, went to the Delhi High Court to retaliate against Khobragade.

Philip Richard’s lawyer at the Delhi High Court was Tariq Adeeb, a  Muslim activist-lawyer who belongs to the Human Rights Law Network in India, a vast national networks of activists and lawyers, pursuing social justice (that is, extensive redistributive and welfare schemes) under the rubric of “indivisible human rights.”

A close look at the funding of the HRLN shows that it is far from being a true private agency.

The names of its donors is a roll-call of the most prominent family foundations (MacArthur, Ford) supporting Western state interests. In addition, there are a number of embassies (Dutch, Swedish) and governments (Irish, Swiss) represented, the UN (UN High Commissioner for Refugees), as well as other rights groups.

It was through this Western-elite backed network and its contacts in the church and US embassy that the Sangeeta Richard case was drummed up and manipulated to create an “anti-trafficking” case that would highlight the agenda demanded by the strategic goals of a  “color revolution” (based on the twin themes of “modern slavery” and “anti-trafficking) targeting India sponsored by the CIA.

Bharara’s Israeli & Pakistani In-Laws (Update 1/23/14)

UPDATE (1/23/14)

According to this site, Bharara’s net worth is approximately $1 million and his annual salary is approximately $200,000? No references or explanations about where they got those figures.

Not sure…

UPDATE (1/23/14):

Bharara was naturalized in 1980, along with his parents.

(He would have been 12 at the time. He emigrated from India to the US in 1970, when he was 2).

(The full list of Gupta/India posts is too long to be inserted here, so please search for “Rajat Gupta” or “Bharara” or “War on India” on my blog, to get the rest. The Gupta posts cannot be searched for on Google. They don’t show up.)

ORIGINAL POST

The surprises never end:

Preet Bharara is not only half-Sikh, he is married to a woman whose father  is Pakistani and whose mother is Israeli.

That makes Bharara’s three children Jewish (Jewish ethnic descent is through the mother’s line).

Q: Does Bharara’s wife have/retain Israeli citizenship?

Why is this line of reasoning important?

Because Sikh militants have had close ties with Pakistan’s intelligence, ISI.

And, the ISI is reportedly trying to revive Sikh militancy within India, where it has subsided, even while it has grown outside India, because of funding by third-parties.

QUOTE:

“The minister [R.P.N. Sing] said the National Investigation Agency has been investigating into the funding of the banned Babbar Khalsa International (BKI).

Singh said the NIA has registered a case against Punjab-based operatives of BKI based on the allegation that they are receiving funds from UK-based BKI operatives to commit terrorist acts in India with active material and logistic support from Pakistan-based BKI leaders.” (Times of India, August 13, 2013)

Furthermore, Mossad reportedly helped create the Sikh militant movement directing it through an old-boy network of Sikhs in the Indian army.

Here are more details:

New York Times, Aug 9, 2009:

“His [Bharara] father, a Sikh, and his mother, who was Hindu, were born in what is now Pakistan, before India and Pakistan were separate countries.

In the violent migration that occurred after the 1947 partition, his father and mother both moved to the Indian side, with their families losing property and most of their possessions, Mr. Bharara has said.

His wife’s father, a Muslim, also moved, from the Indian side into Pakistan, also losing his home “and much, much more,” as Mr. Bharara put it. And his wife’s mother was born in Palestine, after her father, who was Jewish, escaped with his family from Nazi Germany.”

Bharara, the son of a Sikh doctor from Amritsar, which was the site of the Golden Temple massacre, is married into a Pakistani-Israeli/Ashkenazi family.

That alone should set off alarm bells.

But, in addition, the whole Devyani Khobragade incident seems to have had the support of a radical Sikh campaign against Indian sovereignty.

Indian intelligence has unearthed Mossad/Israeli agents have been making contacts with radical Islamic groups, as well as with the radical left, in Kochi, in Kerala state (from where the diplomat’s maid is alleged to have come).

Perhaps action, not just alarm, is warranted.

Does Preet Bharara have ties to the Khalistani movement?

“Ex-Pentagon” Analyst Made “Devyani Durga” Video

NOTE: REPOSTED FROM MY BLOG-POST – COLOR REVOLUTION INDIA

SHOCKER: Ex-Pentagon analyst behind a urination-and-rape video of Bin Laden, as well as the “Durga” video of Khobragade’s arrest.

“Early on in the Khobragade story, a video representation of the arrest of Devyani Khobragade appeared on the net. It was later removed.

The video was an animation of the arrest, in which, as in pictures in later news reports, Khobragade kept turning into a multi-armed figure reminiscent of the Goddess Durga/Kali:

“The one-and-a-half-minute spoof has been posted by a group called “Next Media Animation TV. And though not everyone will be amused by the fact that the sari-clad Khobragade keeps turning into a Goddess Kali-like entity, the idea seems essentially to tell the basic story of the row wittily. Subtitles include one that goes “US not sari”.

Next Media Animation is an animation company in Taiwan. It is run by a former Pentagon analyst, Mark Simon from Virginia, which is the headquarters of  the US intelligence community and of the government-subsidized electronic snooping industry. [See below.]

Next Media Animation is a subsidiary of Next Media, a Hong Kong-based media conglomerate that creates humorous animations of news events.

Next Media  is the creation of serial entrepreneur and devout  Catholic Jimmy Lai and it’s the largest media group in Hong Kong.

While Lai might be Catholic, one cannot assume Mark Simon – who runs Next Animation – is.

So, the “Durga” video need not be read as a display of personal religious animosity toward a “pagan, polytheistic” religion.

The video might just have been a clumsy attempt to use religious symbolism for political purposes.

Jimmy Lai is known as the “Rupert Murdoch of Asia” and is responsible for bringing in a flashy, tabloid-style of media into Asia. (Added: Jan 20, 2014)

Lai owns the biggest media operation in Hong-Kong.

Lai is highly critical of the Chinese government for its human-rights violations and lack of democracy, which has got wide coverage in Western mainstream outlets, like the BBC.

Also see this flattering Asia Week report of Lai, the maverick, republished at CNN.

(Added: Jan 21, 2014)

Lai has been targeted, reportedly, because of his political outspokenness.

Lai’s position on China seems close to the position of the US State Dept.

The Catholic Lai  has worked with Cardinal Joseph Zen in a campaign against the Beijing government’s attempt to replace Hong-Kong’s free educational system with organizing committees in each school.

The new government committees will replace the educational institutions (including the Catholic church) that now run the schools.

In China, there is a “legal” Catholic church that toes the official Marxist line on abortion, among other things, and there is also an “illegal” church that doesn’t and therefore suffers persecution and suppression.

Jimmy Lai seems to be an outlet for CIA disinformation and psyops.

NEWS REPORT: A Pentagon defense analyst runs Lai’s pro-democracy efforts

QUOTE:

“Lai had made donations of nearly $8 million over five years to pro-democracy groups and individuals — and that [Mark] Simon, as head of his private office, handled the payments.”

QUOTE

“Simon, who spends most of his time in Taiwan, where he runs Next Media’s animation unit, dismissed the whole affair as a “sloppy farce.”

NEWS REPORT: A New York Times interview with Lai mentions a video made by Next Media Animation that showed Osama Bin Laden being urinated on and raped in hell.  Lai says the video was an “accident” by young employees

Draupadi Disrobed: India Strip-Searched By US…..

Draupadi disrobed in the Mahabharat

Credit for image of Draupadi vastraharan to Naari.com

“When the US tows away a Russian diplomat’ car in Washington for a parking violation, six US diplomatic cars disappear in Moscow. The Russian car then magically appears with apology.

That is the type of diplomacy we need.”

This was a comment I saw posted at the Indian news site, Firstpost.com, below an article on the unequal “relationship” between the US and  India, as evidenced in the Devyani Khobragade case.

India is claiming “victory” …….even though a senior female diplomat still faces indictment and a possible 10 year sentence and was strip-searched and cavity-inspected, for an allegation over what amounts to a routine visa issue.

Meanwhile, not even a criminal case was registered against Wayne May (the State Dept Security chief in New Delhi who is behind the whole affair.

May was guilty of subversion of the Indian judiciary, actual trafficking, and tax and visa fraud.

Further clarification of  a canard being circulated that Khobragade was lying.

Devyani Khobragade says she was strip-searched, DNA swabbed, and cavity-searched, multiple times.

The US Marshals deny that she was cavity-searched but admit she underwent a standard procedure strip-search.

So who is telling the truth? Devyani or the Marshals?

BOTH. There is just a confusion of terms.

Under US law today (ratified by Supreme Court in a 2012 case), arrests are accompanied by strip-searches.

1 The standard procedure of a strip-search

This is what the US Marshals admitted happened.

It involves the removal of all clothes and examination of all bodily cavities, including mouth, nose, ears, eyes, genitals and rectum.

It involves “baring of the labia.” That can be done multiple times.

It includes DNA swabbing and recording (for security purposes).

As we now know, the US has a vast espionage and surveillance network and nearly all sensitive nodes of telecom and electronic communication are monitored centrally.

Thus, images of such a search WOULD HAVE BEEN RECORDED AND SHARED WITH SPY AGENCIES. THAT IS GUARANTEED.

These images can then be transferred to private corporations, working with the United States Government (and Israel.

Israel has complete access via backdoors in the electronic equipment as well as more directly).

Corporation working with the spy agencies and with the USG include Facebook, Microsoft,  Google, Digg, Verizon, Brighthouse and many many more.

There is immense  potential here for black-mail against a political figure like Khobragade, from a political family tied to the Dalit vote-bank (voting power of the lower caste/untouchable community), a prize for both Congress and the BJP.

Indeed, we don’t know that black-mail has not ALREADY occurred behind closed doors.

Extortion of the Khobragade family would mean extortion of the Ministry of External Affairs (foreign office of New Delhi), in which Uttam Khobragade, Devyani’s father, has power.

The MEA and the US Embassy in New Delhi were at logger-heads for some time before this episode

“Jail Strip Searches: The light at the end of the tunnel was not a train,” Gary W. De Land, Directors of Jail Operations, Utah’s Sheriff’s Association gives a detailed history of the litigation over strip-searches as well as the often confused terminology, from the perspective of someone in favor of more wide-spread use of strip-searches.  His description of the standard strip-search, including visual inspection of cavities (which he terms relatively useless since the cavities cannot actually be seen)

“The early strip search cases created a bit of confusion over what a strip search is. Part of that confusion was use of the term “body cavity search” or “visual body cavity search.”

The terms seem to imply searches actually probe or look inside of the rectum or vagina which was not the case.

The body-cavity searches were those where the male was required to lift his genitals for visual inspection to see if contraband was being hidden and bending or squatting to allow visual inspection of the anus (an external inspection). For females, prisoners were required to bend and spread their buttocks and/or squat to permit an visual inspection of the external genitalia and anus.

The Supreme Court commented on the different and confusing meanings that have been applied in various cases to “strip searches.”

The term is imprecise. It may refer simply to the instruction to remove clothing while an officer observes from a distance of, say, five feet or more; it may mean a visual inspection from a closer, more uncomfortable distance; it may include directing detainees to shake their heads or to run their hands through their hair to dislodge what might be hidden there; or it may involve instructions to raise arms, to display foot insteps, to expose the back of the ears, to move or spread the buttocks or genital areas, or to cough in a squatting position.

The impact of the Florence ruling is that the term “strip search” now covers each of the different levels of intrusion listed above. Since the so-called visual body-cavity searches are permitted without reasonable suspicion, then certainly the less intrusive strip searches are also authorized. It is now appropriate for jail officials to simply refer to levels levels of unclothed searches as strip searches.”

B. The procedure called a “cavity search”

Devyani mistakenly used this term, when she should have used the term “cavity inspection.”

That is understandable since in India, BOTH procedures would be considered custodial rape.

Cavity search (probe)  involves digital probing of the cavities (insertion of fingers or fists into rectums or vaginas).

This is literally sodomizing of an innocent person, on mere charges or suspicion.

“Probing” did NOT happen, which is why the US Marshals are denying the story.

Devyani used the wrong term, but she is not lying, just using the wrong terminology.

The standard inspection of the cavities would in fact be brutal and demeaning enough on its own.

The US apparently misjudged how people would react and then tried to muddy the affair by flooding the media with allegations and statements from the US prosecutor and the alleged victim.

In effect, this is a way to try the case in the media and cover up their own outrageous position.

The hoax video that was released on the net, showing the gang-rape of  Devyani, was apparently intended to muddy the story.

Perhaps that was so as to make it appear that the reaction was a misplaced reaction to exaggerated reports.

My first book “Language of Empire” dealt with such “hoaxes” and the problems they create.

Notice, as well, that almost immediately after the Facebook statements of the May surfaced, how another “gang-rape” allegation has surfaced from Delhi, this time by a Danish woman.

Yet, the police did not find any injuries consistent with a gang-rape and she refused to undergo a medical examination in Delhi.

She is using medical evidence from Denmark to press her case.

This is an extraordinary case from the point of view of setting precedents, because it means that the Delhi police might from now on be sued based on evidence cooked up abroad and concocted for political purposes.

Now, we see the political motivation behind the drum-beat about a “rape crisis” in Delhi

even while the rate of rape in the UK, for example, is ten time that in India, and although India is not to be found in the top ten countries for high rape rates, while the US, the UK, New Zealand, Sweden, and Belgium all are.

Why Do US Diplomats Need Personal Paramilitary?

David Lindorff at Counterpunch writes:

“What’s the deal with these “State Department Agents” who investigated the Indian Deputy Consul General’s visa application and her housekeeper’s pay arrangements, initially in India, and who then made the arrest at her home in New York? ……..

Doesn’t the US government have enough “law enforcement” and “defense” organizations already, without giving the State Department its own armed paramilitary operation? Embassies and Consulates already have Marine guards, already have CIA agents working undercover as “diplomats,” and have access to the FBI, the DEA, the ATF, the DOD, the Secret Service and who knows what other three-lettered organizations with armed personnel to investigate law-breaking and to defend diplomats. Why do they need this one too, particularly if all it can do is piss off the people of another country through gratuitously abusive treatment?””

Mays Fired From Their Jobs

The NY Times reports:

“Two U.S. State Department employees in India have been removed from their posts for writing racist Facebook comments about their host country.

Wayne May, head of the security team for the U.S. embassy in New Delhi, and his wife Alicia Muller May, the embassy’s community liaison officer, posted messages during their three years in India about how “bizarre” the country was and in one instance joked about “vegetarians that are doing the raping” in response to the gruesome wave of violence in the country.

Well, the Mays should go, but not for being racists.  For being dumb. They can feel anyway they want to about India or Indians. However, as long as they represent this country to India, they ought to keep their feelings to themselves. The Mays could also have been posted elsewhere, where they would have felt comfortable.

Of course, the Mays are also welcome to comment in future at my blog, since I love outrageous commentary, and, as you can see from the way I engage with the underworld of American blogging, I am very gentle with the confused and intellectually-challenged..

Let’s be clear, the Mays were fall guys in all this.

There is no way a caper that had Bharara, the US State Dpt, the US Marshals, some Delhi police, the entire NGO world, and the major media all lined up together on one side, could have taken place without anything but the full sanction of some big bosses.

Please note the pecking order.

Notice that when the NGOs and the State Dpt. and the Human Rights folk were lined up with the maid, Devyani Khobragade couldn’t get a fair shake in the mainstream papers. You couldn’t open a page without hearing a lecture about the “slavery” routinely practiced by Indian barbarians.

We already knew about the Mays by then, but no one thought to fire them for having circumvented the judiciary of a sovereign nation.

But, as soon as Mr. May and his wife, who executed what was probably conceived at higher levels, got caught by social media in unpleasant remarks – oh, then, and only then, do the moral arbiters of the universe become outraged.

In other words, fire the guy for dumb remarks his wife made on social media, probably not intended to be seen.

[Sorry, correction: they were posting OPENLY on Facebook, which, in the circumstances, is really stupid.  Also, the FB pages were not hacked. Nor were they doctored in any way.  That’s just damage-control spin being put out by the army of intelligence hacks employed to keep public perceptions thoroughly spun.]

So, this is how it goes – fire May for comments made by his wife on FB, but don’t fire May for his part in circumventing/obstructing the Indian judiciary, enabling visa fraud ( T3 visa to Sangeeta Richard, when she she was already facing criminal charges in India); or for concocting either a trumped-up or badly exaggerated case that led to custodial rape of a senior married female diplomat; or for committing various crimes in India (tax-fraud and smuggling).

Makes sense?

This plot wasn’t put together by some agent. It was choreographed by someone higher at the State Department.

India Nanny-Gate: Color Revolution In the Making: Part One

I’m re-posting this blog-post from a few days back, with footnotes and links.

I’ll be adding to the evidence shortly.

INDIAN NANNY-GATE: COLOR REVOLUTION IN THE MAKING?

PART ONE: THE WELL-FUNDED NGO’S BEHIND THE ANTI-TRAFFICKING AGENDA

By now, everyone knows that on December 13, 2013, an Indian diplomat, Devyani Khobragade, was arrested and strip-searched by New York police on charges that she failed to pay her Indian maid minimum wage and lied about it to the US government.

In the Western media, the diplomat Devyani Khobragade was treated as a poster-child for the latest human-rights cause celebre, transnational human-trafficking.

However, a closer reading of media reports suggests that the case was set up from the beginning and might well be part of an organized attempt by the Western elites to destabilize India, as part of their ongoing attempt to replace nation-states around the world with transnational bureaucracies under their own direction.

Here’s the evidence so far:

A.

The activists advocating for the maid are part of a very well-financed, ideologically left-wing, transnational network.

The maid’s lawyer Dana Sussman works in the anti-trafficking program of a New York outfit called Safe-Horizon, the largest victims services outfit in the US.

Its directors include representative of the leading multinational financial institutions and corporations in the US, including UBS, JP Morgan Chase, Verizon, and Calvin Klein. (1)

The anti-trafficking program at Safe Horizon was started by Florrie Burke, “a consultant on Human Trafficking and modern day slavery to both governmental and non-governmental agencies.”(2)

Ms. Burke is also on the steering committee of the New York Anti-Trafficking Network and chairman emeritus of the Freedom Network, a coalition of 35 experts and NGOs across the nation, which styles itself the only national group to adopt a “rights-based framework” for its efforts.(3)

The 2013 -2014 policy committee of the Freedom Network is co-chaired by Naomi Tsu of the Southern Poverty Law Center and Dana Sussman, the maid’ lawer, from Safe-Horizon.(4)

The SPLC, once a well-regarded civil rights organization, is increasingly regarded as a biased and selective enforcer of left-wing ideology, known for over-the-top characterizations of its ideological foes.(5)

This should lay to rest any idea that Dana Sussman is just a lawyer defending a client. She is instead a prominent activist, paid by the biggest victims services Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in the USA and, thus, in the world.

B

The Anti-trafficking network has the backing of major corporate and financial leaders.

Safe Horizon not only has the backing of major banks and corporate bosses in the US, it is embedded in the NY city government through its court-based victims services programs.  (6)

New York’s government is the most important local government in the US, since New York is the financial capital of the nation and the home of many international bodies, including the United Nations.

C. The Freedom Network has taken a vociferous and one-sided stance on behalf of the Khobragade maid, as evident from letters on its site, such as the following:

“An Open Letter to Ambassador Samantha Powers Regarding Exploitation Charges Against Indian Diplomat.”
(7)

D.

The chief of the anti-trafficking network was on an extended tour conferencing with media and government in sensitive areas of India at the time of Khobragade’s arrest.

Just before the arrest of Ms. Khobragade, Ms. Burke was in India on December 7 at Guwahati in the north-east state of Assam.

She was there for a conference on human-trafficking, which she described as a menace needing an all-India body that would coordinate efforts across the states to combat it. (8)

To the Assamese newspaper, Sentinel, Ms. Burke said:

“After Abraham Lincoln, it is only Obama who has spoken out as stridently as possible against modern day slavery.

Besides Assam and Andhra (a Southern coastal state), Ms. Burke mentioned Afghanistan and Pakistan as sites where anti-trafficking efforts should be expanded.

Andhra has been a site of Naxalite terrorism, as well as of CIA and NGO/Church interference in the government, as has Assam.

Many have seen such intervention as the soft-power arm of empire, operating through bribery and espionage. (9)
Afghanistan and Pakistan of course are targets of imperial hard-power, that is, bombs.

Ms. Burke didn’t explain why her anti-trafficking interests mesh so exactly with US strategic interests.

Recall that the Indian electric outage first began in the North-East region of India, as I blogged in July-August 2012. (10)

Since then, other bloggers have shown that there is evidence that the electricity outage might have been caused by Stuxnet. (11)

With that background, and with our current awareness of the level and depth of US and Israeli espionage against the entire globe, it is interesting to find that the Guwahati anti-trafficking conference promoted the use of software enabling cross-border collaboration between law-enforcement agencies prosecuting anti-trafficking cases. (12) (My emphasis)

Cross-border collaborations between intelligence agencies of countries as far apart in their ability to “project power” as the US and India must inherently be asymmetrical and accrue to the advantage of the more powerful country.

In short, collaboration may be just another pretext for Great Power spying for business and military ends.

Remember that the biometric ID has already been introduced in Afghanistan and is being pushed in India. (13)
Again, as with the anti-trafficking program, the ID is advocated with a “good governance” pretext, in this case, that it will reduce fraud in welfare distributions.

Returning to Florrie Burke’s tour of India as chief of the Freedom Network and its anti-trafficking agenda, we find that the Facebook page of the anti-trafficking conference at Guwahati shows an Indian newspaper editor (Editor, Sikkim Express) receiving the “Impulse” Model Award For Media Change Maker from Cristina Albertin, Representative, UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime) Regional Office for South Asia. (14)

Awards are also being given to the editors of papers from Meghalaya.

Thomas Lim, editor Meghalaya Times and Deepak Singh, Associate Editor of Meghalaya Times received the Impulse Model Award For Media Change Maker from Helen LaFave, CG, U.S. Consulate, Kolkatta.

The presence of a US consular officer shows once again that the US government itself is never far behind altruistic “human rights” outfits.

To put this more bluntly, the national anti-trafficking coalition which has been vocally lobbying against Devyani Khobragade has also been canvassing support for its agenda among the media of outlying states in India.
These are the states with histories of being infiltrated and subverted by Maoists and Naxalites, often abetted by the CIA, American NGOs, proselytising churches and missionary bodies. (15)

In fact, since the arrest of Ms. Khobragade took place only a few days after this anti-trafficking grand tour, it wouldn’t be too much to wonder if the two were coordinated.

E.

The Indian media networks that endorse anti-trafficking also support key elements of the UN’s Agenda 21, which has the backing of George Soros, the billionaire front for the Zionist/Rothschild banking cartel.

The “Impulse” in Impulse Media, one of the groups referenced in the Face-book page of the anti-trafficking conference at Guwahati, refers to Impulse Social Enterprises, a group that says it supports ‘sustainable livelihoods for all.” (16)

Now, “sustainability” is a word that crops up frequently in any program espoused by the Western power-elite.

Peter Wood, executive director of the National Association of Scholars (NAS) says, “It turns out that virtually the entire agenda of the progressive left can be fit inside the word sustainability.'” (17)

In fact, the word “sustainability” is code for UN Agenda 21, signed by the US in 1992 (18):

Vice President Gore s book, Earth in the Balance, addressed many of the general issues of sustainability.

Within the past year, the President s Council on Sustainable Development has been organized to develop recommendations for incorporating sustainability into the federal government.

Also, various groups have been formed to implement Agenda 21, a comprehensive blueprint for sustainable development that was adopted at the recent UNCED conference in Rio de Janeiro (the Earth Summit. )

and later,

A common misconception is that sustainability is synonymous with self-sufficiency; on the contrary, sustainability must recognize the interconnections between different levels of societal structure. (18)

One American activist writes:

Agenda 21 is about total control of our personal property, our ability to travel, our energy consumption& health; the list literally goes on and on.

As Rosa Koire, author of Behind the Green Mask: U.N. Agenda 21 states, under an Agenda 21 future, your energy consumption will be controlled until you can’t farm, can’t manufacture, can’t travel, can’t fish, can’t use your land.

Productivity and businesses are limited now.

Through pushing everyone into smart cities and onto smart grids, the Obama EPA s clampdown on coal, and the steering of all manner of public policy from land-use and land ownership restrictions to seemingly small traffic initiatives that ultimately restrict personal travel, evidence of Agenda 21 can be found everywhere we look these days.

It s just as former Rockefeller Board of Trustees member (the Rockefeller Foundation is behind Agenda 21 imitative America 2050? among others) and Earth Council Chairman Maurice Strong envisioned when he wrote the forward to ICLEI s The Local Agenda 21 Planning Guide sustainable development implementation document:

In my parting words at the conclusion of the Earth Summit, I said that we all must move down from the Summit and into the trenches where the real world actions and decisions are taken that will, in the final analysis, determine whether the vision of Rio will be fulfilled and the agreements reached there implemented.

Of the many programs that have resulted from the Earth Summit, none is more promising or important than this one, which has hundreds of local authorities around the world now setting out and implementing their Local Agenda 21s.” (19)

It’s clear from this that the anti-human-trafficking program is closely tied to Sustainability and Human Rights, two of the pillars of the UN/CIA agenda and that the terms mean something far different from what they mean in ordinary usage.

The UN/CIA agenda has been shown by activists to be funded and supported by George Soros.

Soros is a billionaire front of the Rothschild banking cartel. (20)

Would it be too far-fetched to ask if there might not be a financial and strategic reason for the pursuit of the anti-trafficking agenda, and would it be too cynical to ask, cui bono?

Moreover, $800 million is allocated to Pakistan under the Pakistan Counterinsurgency Fund, with little bang for the buck. This distribution of resources, compared to both need and affinity, makes little sense.”

Rajiva: On the other hand, it makes perfect sense, if US-India security cooperation is less about security from terrorist threats and more about using the country as a cats-paw to further US goals in the region.

Soros Outfits Behind Indian Diplomat Anti-Trafficking Case

THE DEVYANI CASE BEARS THE EAR-MARKS OF A SET-UP – PART ONE

I have said that the Devyani Khobragade case has all the ear-marks of a set-up:

From a previous post Rothschild Banks Behind NGO’s Helping Maid:

“Bharara is an approved Rothschild enforcer and part of the NY/NJ political machinery.
Safe Horizon the NGO behind the maid, is the largest victims services groups in the US. Its board of directors are officers of several Rothschild cartel banks.
Dana Sussman, the attorney from there who is representing the maid, is a gender feminist and abortion rights activist with a history of litigating discrimination claims. Her law firm was the same one that handled the previous diplomat forced-labor case. In that one, the maid changed her story several times and retracted half the charges. Safe Horizon is embedded in the NY city government.”

Now to be more specific. Here are some facts that bolster the theory that the whole Devyani Khobragade case was set up from the beginning.

I’m reposting this blog-post from a few days back, with footnotes and links. I’ll be adding to the evidence shortly.

IINDIAN NANNY-GATE: THE WELL-FUNDED NGO’S BEHIND THE ANTI-TRAFFICKING AGENDA  Part One

By now, everyone knows that on December 13, 2013, an Indian diplomat, Devyani Khobragade, was arrested and strip-searched by New York police on charges that she failed to pay her Indian maid minimum wage and lied about it to the US government.
In the Western media the diplomat Devyani Khobragade was treated as a poster-child for the latest human-rights cause celebre, transnational human-trafficking.

However, a closer reading of media reports suggests that the case was set up from the beginning and may well be a part of an organized attempt by the Western elites to destabilize India, in their ongoing attempt to replace nation-states around the world with transnational bureaucracies under their own direction.

The anti-trafficking program at Safe Horizon was started by Florrie Burke, “a consultant on Human Trafficking and modern day slavery to both governmental and non-governmental agencies.” (2)

Ms. Burke is also on the steering committee of the New York Anti-Trafficking Network and chairman emeritus of the Freedom Network, a coalition of 35 experts and NGOs across the nation, which styles itself the only national group to adopt a “rights-based framework” for its efforts. (3)

The 2013 -2014 policy committee of the Freedom Network is co-chaired by Naomi Tsu of the Southern Poverty Law Center and Dana Sussman, the maid’ lawer, from Safe-Horizon. (4)

The SPLC, once a well-regarded civil rights organization, is increasingly regarded as a biased and selective enforcer of left-wing ideology, known for over-the-top characterizations of its ideological foes. (5)

This should lay to rest any idea that Dana Sussman is just a lawyer defending a client. She is instead a prominent activist, paid by the biggest victims services Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in the USA and, thus, in the world.

B The Anti-trafficking network has the backing of major corporate and financial leaders.

Safe Horizon not only has the backing of major banks and corporate bosses in the US, it is embedded in the NY city government through its court-based victims services programs.  (6) New York’s government is the most important local government in the US, since New York is the financial capital of the nation and the home of many international bodies, including the United Nations.

Returning to Florrie Burke’s tour of India as chief of the Freedom Network and its anti-trafficking agenda,
we find that the Facebook page of the anti-trafficking conference at Guwahati shows an Indian newspaper editor (Editor, Sikkim Express) receiving the “Impulse” Model Award For Media Change Maker from Cristina Albertin, Representative, UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime) Regional Office for South Asia. (14)

Awards are also being given to the editors of papers from Meghalaya.Thomas Lim, editor Meghalaya Times and Deepak Singh, Associate Editor of Meghalaya Times receive the Impulse Model Award For Media Change Maker from Helen LaFave, CG, U.S.Consolate, Kolkatta.

The presence of a US consular officer shows once again that the US government itself is never far behind altruistic “human rights” ourfits.

In fact, since the arrest of Ms Khobragade took place only a few days after this anti-trafficking grand tour, it wouldn’t be too much to wonder if the two were coordinated.

Agenda 21 is about total control of our personal property, our ability to travel, our energy consumption…the list literally goes on and on. As Rosa Koire, author of Behind the Green Mask: U.N. Agenda 21 states, under an Agenda 21 future, Your energy consumption will be controlled until you can t farm, can t manufacture, can t travel, can t fish, can t use your land.

It’s clear from this that the anti-human-trafficking program is closely tied to Sustainability and Human Rights, two of the pillars of the UN/CIA agenda and that the terms mean something far different from what they mean in ordinary usage.
