Ukraine: In Russia’s Sphere Of Influence, Not America’s

At Forbes, Doug Bandow at Cato has written an excellent piece on the turmoil in Ukraine, over which the imperial bullies in DC (and their covert adjutants are salivating:

“Washington should endorse justice and human dignity, which justifies support for honest elections and warnings against police brutality.  Of course, America’s message would have greater credibility if Washington better respected such values both at home and in its dealings with other nations which don’t always share America’s “interests and values.”

But Ukraine’s “economic health,” “European future,” “turn toward Moscow,” and reengagement “with the European Union” aren’t American values and are barely American interests.  Indeed, they really aren’t proper U.S. concerns.  How would Americans feel if Ukrainian politicians showed up at an “Occupy Wall Street” rally in Washington vowing to stand with protestors in demanding economic redistribution, a North American Union, and a turn away from Europe—all in the name of Ukrainian “interests and values”?

It’s obviously difficult for Washington to imagine any issue that doesn’t warrant U.S. meddling, but Ukraine’s status is one.  Alexander J. Motyl of Rutgers University (Newark) spoke of Washington and Brussels having “vital interests at stake in Ukraine.”  Only in Kiev’s dreams.

More extreme was former UN Ambassador John Bolton, who contended “that tectonic plates are being realigned in Europe” and that Ukraine is “the great prize.”  Robert Zubrin of Pioneer Energy argued that “the events unfolding in Ukraine right now are of global historic importance.”  Indeed, he added, Moscow’s reach for influence in Kiev is part of a “dark program” which “threatens not only the prospects for freedom in Ukraine and Russia, but the peace of the world.”   To suggest that Ukraine is vital to global peace is beyond exaggeration.

A stable, democratic Ukraine would be good for all concerned—and America’s Ukrainian diaspora deserves credit for its long-standing support for its homeland—but Kiev’s orientation isn’t important to Washington.  Ukraine spent centuries subject to Moscow and the U.S. never noticed. Vladimir Putin wants to reestablish Russian influence, but that doesn’t mean he can put the Soviet Humpty Dumpty back together.  Today’s protests in Kiev demonstrate that Ukraine will never be a quiescent tool of Moscow.

On the security side, Russia’s activities in Ukraine do not threaten the U.S.  The reverse, however, is not true.  Bringing NATO up to Russia’s southern border cannot help but be seen as dangerous by Russia—imagine Americans would view the Warsaw Pact expanding to Mexico. Washington’s policy today looks like the fabled “Brezhnev Doctrine,” what is mine is mine, and what is yours is negotiable.  America seeks to dominate not only the Western Hemisphere, Europe, and Central Asia, but all along Russia’s borders.  Washington wants to hold all of the geopolitical chips.

The better strategy would be for the West to treat Russia with respect, acknowledging that it has legitimate interests in Ukraine, while using the prospect of greater economic opportunity to convince Kiev to look westward.  Yanukovich has been rented, not bought.  Complained the Economist:  “Mr. Yanukovich’s favored option seems to be to preserve the status quo and refrain from joining either camp while continuing to milk both.”  Which sounds like a sound strategy from Ukraine’s standpoint.  The EU, which obviously has the most at stake, could up its offer and reconsider its political demands.  How badly does it want to “win”?

Moreover, Europe should look for compromise opportunities with Moscow.  Kiev has proposed creation of “a tripartite commission to handle complex issues.”  Such an approach has promise.  Former congressional staffer Jim Jatras cited recent talks between the EU and Russia over “aspects of the AA with Ukraine that Moscow considers detrimental to its own economy, specifically a massive flow of EU products into Russia via Ukraine.”  All would benefit with greater links between the EU and the Russian-lead CU, which might reduce Moscow’s pressure on Kiev.

Ukraine matters, to Ukraine.  It also matters to Russia.  But less to Europe and much less to the U.S.  If Kiev wants to look east, so be it.  The West is most likely to win influence if it makes itself more attractive, not if it treats the issue like a new Cold War.  Despite Russia’s money Yanukovich’s reelection prospects are weak and Ukraine is likely to eventually join the West.  If not, however, so be it.  The country never was the EU’s or Washington’s to lose.”

Cowboy Bharara Targets Yet Another Uppity Injun

Daily Caller on the malign trinity of Obama, Holder and Bharara, who have thoroughly politicized their offices to a degree that makes even the Bush administration seem like constitutionalists:

“Molen, a co-producer of Steven Spielberg’s “Schindler’s List,” added that D’Souza has been targeted for “an alleged minor violation.” He compared the indictment to the Internal Revenue Service’s harassment and targeting of conservative tea party groups.

“In light of the recent events and the way the IRS has been used to stifle dissent, this arrest should send shivers down the spines of all freedom-loving Americans,” he said.

“2016: Obama’s America” was a surprise box-office smash, raking in $33 million in revenue.

The documentary is currently the second-most-popular political documentary in American history behind “Farenheit  9/11,” a 2004 movie by leftist documentarian Michael Moore which thrashes the foreign policy of Obama’s predecessor, George W. Bush.

Bush administration officials never indicted Moore.”

In response to Bharara’s claim that his office simply has “zero tolerance” for attempts to corrupt the electoral process, here is what Pamela Geller says (Geller might be a neo-con, but she is right here):

“Really? I broke numerous stories and documented millions in illegal campaign contributions to the Obama campaign, but nothing was ever done.

This is so frightening. America, put down the newly legalized weed that Obama is touting and join us in the fight for freedom.”

Sunanda Pushkar’s Dubai Espionage Links

UPDATE: I changed the title of this post from “Sunanda Pushkar Was the Spy, Not Mehr?” to Pushkar’s Dubai Espionage Links, as I’ve been coming across things.  Although I think it’s still a very plausible theory, there still aren’t enough facts to suggest it’s more plausible than any other.

UPDATE: An unidentified man visited Sunanda Pushkar before her death and was captured by CCTV.

UPDATE: Shelley Kasli at GreatGameIndia has more details about Pushkar’s connection to Sunil Varkey, a front for Dawood Ibrahim and the Rothschilds (via his GEMS Educational foundation and its affiliated Clinton Global Initiative ).

I also noticed the Varkey connection (see below, in my original post).

Kasli writes:

“Established by President Bill Clinton in 2005, the initiative’s aim is to create and implement innovative solutions to some of the world’s most pressing issues. Among CGI’s diverse membership are heads of state, leading CEOs, Nobel Prize laureates and heads of NGOs”

GEMS also supports a variety of partners, including Amnesty International, UNESCO, the Tony Blair Faith Foundation and other NGOs.

Sunil Varkey is connected to the Indian diamond business and its merchant princes in Europe.

The IPL (Indian Premier League cricket franchise) is awash from money-laundering of the profits from these and related businesses.

Sunanda Pushkar had been given a stake in the IPL, specifically, the Kochi (Kerala) team. She later renounced it when it led to charges of corruption against her recently married husband Shashi Tharoor.

Kasli writes:

“The most important aspect of Team Kochi is that almost its entire $333 million has come from Gujarati investors based in Dubai and Mumbai. Two prominent investors in the team are Atul Shah of Anchor Earth, makers of Anchor Switches, and diamond merchant Harshad Mehta, whose family is the largest exporter of diamonds in India and who holds a personal stake in Team Kochi through Film Wave, owned by Rosy Blue. Both families enjoy a celebrity status in the Gujarati community.”

Lila: More here about Harshad Mehta, the diamond merchant:

“Some 300 Indian families mainly hailing from the state of Gujarat live in the port city of Antwerp, the world’s rough diamond trading capital. Today, Indians control 60% of Antwerp’s rough and polished diamond trade that recorded a turnover of $36bn and contributes 8% of Belgian’s exports.”

The Kochi IPL owners also figure on a list of Indian black-money in Germany that the Indian tax authorites and the Reserve Bank of India have confirmed.

Some of the black money  appears to have been generated by sophisticated price rigging schemes involving the resale of diamonds, which has deprived the Zimbabwe treasury of money.

However, the largest investors in the Zimbabwe diamond mine at Marange are not the Indians, but the Chinese:

“Chinese nationals and state-owned companies are the largest investors in Marange. Many work in partnership with Zimbabwean military chiefs, who have seats on the boards of diamond mining firms.”

Shelly Kasli:

“Bringing Narendra Modi in the line of fire, Kochi franchise spokesman Satyajit Gaikwad said everyone knew about his “nexus” with Lalit Modi and the concerted effort by them to deprive Kochi of IPL team and get a slot for Gujarat.”

Lila: Lalit Modi is the corrupt chief of the IPL, which has been scandal-ridden since day one and last year was reeling with scam after scam.

When the Pushkar investment was outed, Tharoor was forced to resign his then position. The idea was that the Kochi IPL would head to Gujarat and be under Modi.

Narendra Modi was behind the pressure from Lalit Modi to move the Kochi IPL north.

Narendra Modi is supportive/protective of the diamond industry (centered in India in Mumbai and Surat) and also supportive of the global diamond industry, affiliated with Zionists.

Modi’s PR agency is APCO International, affiliated with Kissinger Associates. It is a strong proponent of the war on terror and its positions are supported by a wide-variety of right-wing think-tanks, like the Heritage Foundation, which are linked to CIA/Mossad directly.

It now makes sense to me why Subramanian Swamy – whom many people regard as a Mossad stooge -tweeted out that  Mehr Tarar was ISI.

It might have been a distraction from the real story behind Pushkar’s death.

It also explains why the major media (BBC, Guardian and so on) are treating the whole story as suicide.  Varkey’s GEMS foundation is behind a network of schools closely tied to multiple churches in the UK.

It’s also possible that this something more complicated, perhaps a playing out of spy and counter-spy.

As I said, Subramanian Swamy, who put out the viral tweet that Pushkar was eliminated by ISI, has himself been fingered by many people are a Rothschild/Mossad stooge.

The Rothschild cartel finances the right-wing, but through George Soros and affiliated Foundations that front for the CIA, it also finances the anti-Zionist/anti-establishment opposition.

UPDATE: Sumana Pushkar was introduced to Shashi Tharoor in 2010. That was when what I call the War on India (partly described in Breaking India)  that is orchestrated by the Rothschild banking cartel  and its propaganda machine first began to become obvious to the public.

She was introduced to Tharoor via Sunny Varkey, a Kerala businessman based in Dubai who is linked to Dawood Ibrahim, as a front man.

Ibrahim (D Company, as he’s referred to in media) is widely regarded as a CIA/Rothschild front.

She was volatile and got into confrontations with strangers.

ORIGINAL POST

Yet another bizarre story in the unfolding drama called “Break Up Of India” reported by The Financial Express.com:

“Call has been made for Union Minister of State for HRD Shashi Tharoor to be removed from the Cabinet till the probe into his wife Sunanda Pushkar’s suspicious death gets over.

Sunanda Pushkar died on Friday after a row erupted over ‘affair’ between her husband Shashi Tharoor and Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar.

The first reports of the demand emanate from TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu.

In a statement issued here today, Chandrababu wanted the police to book a case against Shashi Tharoor under the Domestic Violence (Prevention) Act alleging the latter was responsible for Sunanda’s death.

“An impartial probe should be conducted into her death without scope for any political interference,” the former Chief Minister added.

Chandrababu condoled Sunanda Pushkar’s death.”

My Comment:

Shashi Tharoor, former UN Under-Secretary General, current Indian minister, also a fine writer and author, was alleged to be on the verge of breaking up with his wife in a bizarre tweeting episode, in which his volatile wife apparently used his twitter account to tell millions of followers that he was having an affair with a Pakistani journalist, Mehr Tarar, whom she termed an ISI spy. Tharoor and Tarar denied the allegations.

A private email between the two that has gone public seems to indicate a friendship misunderstood by Sunanda.

Tharoor is alleged to have been involved in corrupt dealings,

Sunanda, his dead wife, was a Dubai entrepreneur. Tharoor is alleged to have once rescued her son from the custody of the UAE police over drug possession charges, using his influence as an Indian Minister. He and his late wife denied the charges.

So we have a Kerala minister (Tharoor is from Kerala and Kerala is a conduit for drug money-laundering not only through land purchases, but through the Indian Premier League – a lucrative, entertainment-cricket industry – in which Tharoor’s wife Sunanda held shares, corruptly, it is alleged); we have a Dubai business woman (Dubai is a center of money-laundering into India and terrorist-financing); we have a Pakistani journalist alleged to be an ISI spy, an allegation made over Twitter, whose India chief is a Kashmiri separatist; and to complicate things Sunanda herself is a Kashmiri Pandit.

She is closely tied, it is reported, to a real estate firm owned by the Sheikh of Dubai, who just happens to be closely allied to the US.

The twitter announcement via hacking of an alleged affair smacks of a psyop.

The rebroadcasting on Western media by the communist  NY Times author Suketu Mehta that “Sunanda was killed by Twitter” seems to confirm that this is a psyop intended to tarnish and topple Tharoor, who has been admitted to hospital with a heart condition.

Another tweet that linked ISI to Sunanda’s death is going viral. That itself suggests that Sunanda’s death is not linked to ISI but to CIA/Mossad and Dubai – that is, to the Rothschild cartel. The use of Twitter in all this is very interesting.

I believe attempts might be made to frame Tharoor in some way? Or?

There are also chances are the dead woman herself might have been an operative, who ensnared Tharoor and has now been disposed of by her paymaster.

Autopsy has revealed that she died of an overdose of prescription drugs, including sedatives. She is said to have suffered from lupus and tuberculosis. There are conflicting reports of how serious those conditions were.

My first thought was that this might be a set-up, with the phony ISI accusation working as a red herring to distract from the real spy-nexus, in Dubai.

Perhaps Pushkar was eliminated and then given a few hits to the body, to make allegations of domestic violence or even murder plausible.

Even if those allegations can’t be proved in court (and hey, Indian courts cannot be trusted, right?) they are enough, via Twitter/social media recycling, to end Tharoor’s career.

Twitter-social media is controlled by the NGO-Ford Foundation-CIA, which funds people like Arwind Kejriwal, Medha Patkar, Amartya Sen, and many other willing and unwilling accomplices in the establishment of the Rothschild-run global dispensation.

Which could be the point, if the intention is to topple the government….or to help this lot?

Why? For this reason...maybe? Not sure…

Those are speculations, but reasonable ones, at this point.

India And The War On Terra (Mater)

An excerpt from a Counterpunch piece I wrote in 2006, warning about the effects of Manmohan Singh signing India up for the US-led global  War On Terror, which actually fronts for the Rothschild “War On Terra”.

“In India, thousands if not millions of lives will likely be affected and India’s self-sufficiency in food destroyed, all for a few more H1B visas and some outsourcing businesses. And the sordid distinction of entry into the Big Boys Club of the WTO mafia.

Strike Two: Tariffs on industry were reduced and the coveted services sector was opened up like a brothel in Kanthipura. Public health, education, telecom, banks, water, all pimped by the state. And by failing to bring up TRIPS (The Agreement on Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights) for review and amendment, India – junior Big Boy – ensured that prices of patented drugs will continue to soar, affecting the common people in poor countries. The length of patents, the patenting of life forms, health and food security – all this might have been reviewed with ease. Not one was.

Strike Three: On the other side, the senior Big Boys got away with unctuous promises to ease out export subsidies by 2013 knowing full well that export subsidies are only a drop (2%) in the total subsidies to agriculture. Even the vaunted “Aid for Trade” is smothered in conditional loans contingent on further breaking open the markets of poorer countries. And what gains were made in market access in the developed world went largely to agri-exporters like Argentina and Brazil, not to poor countries.

And not to the lost leader of the third world.

None of this need have been. India might have stood with the Caribbean, South American, and African countries and galvanized the G 110. Cuba and Venezuela clearly drew the line on service liberalization and India might have joined them. But the current Congress administration, which took the place of the BJP with a mandate to resolve India’s growing agrarian crisis, has proved itself if anything less concerned with the country’s welfare. One could well ask if a nationalist BJP government would have had the ideological stomach to betray the heartland of India.

The Indian government’s cowardice at Hong Kong matches it’s cowardice over the Iraq war, which it could have opposed more vocally, and the vote against Iran, which it need not have joined. But the Cambridge-educated economist Manmohan Singh seems to have decided to put opportunism before principle. For our elites, perhaps it’ OK just so long long as it’s Cambridge-bred, not Varanasi-bred. (4)

The betrayal of Hong Kong is the background against which events in Bangalore must be viewed. Having reneged on its public duties, the government of India is bound to release a flood of propaganda intended as a smoke-screen and a distraction from its own craven performance.

It’s also likely to tighten its grip in the face of mass protests or resistance as the implications of Hong Kong become more and more widely known.

At Hong Kong itself, union leaders, farmers, and workers protesting peacefully were attacked with water-cannons, pepper-spray, and tear-gas. 900 were arrested and 70 were hospitalized.(5)

Want to know what to expect in the coming year? Here’s the graffiti already on the wall in Indonesia, which currently occupies the presidency of the Human Rights Commission (though it has yet to ratify key international human rights treaties) and in November, 2005 became a full-fledged compadre of the US in the War on Terra.

On September 18, 2005, in Tanah Awuk village in central Lombok, around a thousand peasants gathered peacefully to protest development policies denying local people the ability to feed themselves, on which they blamed a severe problem of child malnutrition. Indonesia has abundant fertile land and all available land is cultivated for agriculture. The real problem is that policies favor elite profits over the hunger of peasants.

At about 9 in the morning, Indonesian police forces attacked the crowd with plastic and rubber (as well as some metal) bullets, tear gas, and truncheons. 33 were injured, 27 from gunshots, and the rest from assault. At least one child and two women were shot.
National TV footage showed unarmed women being dragged violently across rough terrain and police roughing up a man bleeding copiously from the head.(5)

That’s how you play the game when you join the US Terror team. Salaam, Bangalore.”

Draupadi Disrobed: India Strip-Searched By US…..

Draupadi disrobed in the Mahabharat

Credit for image of Draupadi vastraharan to Naari.com

“When the US tows away a Russian diplomat’ car in Washington for a parking violation, six US diplomatic cars disappear in Moscow. The Russian car then magically appears with apology.

That is the type of diplomacy we need.”

This was a comment I saw posted at the Indian news site, Firstpost.com, below an article on the unequal “relationship” between the US and  India, as evidenced in the Devyani Khobragade case.

India is claiming “victory” …….even though a senior female diplomat still faces indictment and a possible 10 year sentence and was strip-searched and cavity-inspected, for an allegation over what amounts to a routine visa issue.

Meanwhile, not even a criminal case was registered against Wayne May (the State Dept Security chief in New Delhi who is behind the whole affair.

May was guilty of subversion of the Indian judiciary, actual trafficking, and tax and visa fraud.

Further clarification of  a canard being circulated that Khobragade was lying.

Devyani Khobragade says she was strip-searched, DNA swabbed, and cavity-searched, multiple times.

The US Marshals deny that she was cavity-searched but admit she underwent a standard procedure strip-search.

So who is telling the truth? Devyani or the Marshals?

BOTH. There is just a confusion of terms.

Under US law today (ratified by Supreme Court in a 2012 case), arrests are accompanied by strip-searches.

1 The standard procedure of a strip-search

This is what the US Marshals admitted happened.

It involves the removal of all clothes and examination of all bodily cavities, including mouth, nose, ears, eyes, genitals and rectum.

It involves “baring of the labia.” That can be done multiple times.

It includes DNA swabbing and recording (for security purposes).

As we now know, the US has a vast espionage and surveillance network and nearly all sensitive nodes of telecom and electronic communication are monitored centrally.

Thus, images of such a search WOULD HAVE BEEN RECORDED AND SHARED WITH SPY AGENCIES. THAT IS GUARANTEED.

These images can then be transferred to private corporations, working with the United States Government (and Israel.

Israel has complete access via backdoors in the electronic equipment as well as more directly).

Corporation working with the spy agencies and with the USG include Facebook, Microsoft,  Google, Digg, Verizon, Brighthouse and many many more.

There is immense  potential here for black-mail against a political figure like Khobragade, from a political family tied to the Dalit vote-bank (voting power of the lower caste/untouchable community), a prize for both Congress and the BJP.

Indeed, we don’t know that black-mail has not ALREADY occurred behind closed doors.

Extortion of the Khobragade family would mean extortion of the Ministry of External Affairs (foreign office of New Delhi), in which Uttam Khobragade, Devyani’s father, has power.

The MEA and the US Embassy in New Delhi were at logger-heads for some time before this episode

“Jail Strip Searches: The light at the end of the tunnel was not a train,” Gary W. De Land, Directors of Jail Operations, Utah’s Sheriff’s Association gives a detailed history of the litigation over strip-searches as well as the often confused terminology, from the perspective of someone in favor of more wide-spread use of strip-searches.  His description of the standard strip-search, including visual inspection of cavities (which he terms relatively useless since the cavities cannot actually be seen)

“The early strip search cases created a bit of confusion over what a strip search is. Part of that confusion was use of the term “body cavity search” or “visual body cavity search.”

The terms seem to imply searches actually probe or look inside of the rectum or vagina which was not the case.

The body-cavity searches were those where the male was required to lift his genitals for visual inspection to see if contraband was being hidden and bending or squatting to allow visual inspection of the anus (an external inspection). For females, prisoners were required to bend and spread their buttocks and/or squat to permit an visual inspection of the external genitalia and anus.

The Supreme Court commented on the different and confusing meanings that have been applied in various cases to “strip searches.”

The term is imprecise. It may refer simply to the instruction to remove clothing while an officer observes from a distance of, say, five feet or more; it may mean a visual inspection from a closer, more uncomfortable distance; it may include directing detainees to shake their heads or to run their hands through their hair to dislodge what might be hidden there; or it may involve instructions to raise arms, to display foot insteps, to expose the back of the ears, to move or spread the buttocks or genital areas, or to cough in a squatting position.

The impact of the Florence ruling is that the term “strip search” now covers each of the different levels of intrusion listed above. Since the so-called visual body-cavity searches are permitted without reasonable suspicion, then certainly the less intrusive strip searches are also authorized. It is now appropriate for jail officials to simply refer to levels levels of unclothed searches as strip searches.”

B. The procedure called a “cavity search”

Devyani mistakenly used this term, when she should have used the term “cavity inspection.”

That is understandable since in India, BOTH procedures would be considered custodial rape.

Cavity search (probe)  involves digital probing of the cavities (insertion of fingers or fists into rectums or vaginas).

This is literally sodomizing of an innocent person, on mere charges or suspicion.

“Probing” did NOT happen, which is why the US Marshals are denying the story.

Devyani used the wrong term, but she is not lying, just using the wrong terminology.

The standard inspection of the cavities would in fact be brutal and demeaning enough on its own.

The US apparently misjudged how people would react and then tried to muddy the affair by flooding the media with allegations and statements from the US prosecutor and the alleged victim.

In effect, this is a way to try the case in the media and cover up their own outrageous position.

The hoax video that was released on the net, showing the gang-rape of  Devyani, was apparently intended to muddy the story.

Perhaps that was so as to make it appear that the reaction was a misplaced reaction to exaggerated reports.

My first book “Language of Empire” dealt with such “hoaxes” and the problems they create.

Notice, as well, that almost immediately after the Facebook statements of the May surfaced, how another “gang-rape” allegation has surfaced from Delhi, this time by a Danish woman.

Yet, the police did not find any injuries consistent with a gang-rape and she refused to undergo a medical examination in Delhi.

She is using medical evidence from Denmark to press her case.

This is an extraordinary case from the point of view of setting precedents, because it means that the Delhi police might from now on be sued based on evidence cooked up abroad and concocted for political purposes.

Now, we see the political motivation behind the drum-beat about a “rape crisis” in Delhi

even while the rate of rape in the UK, for example, is ten time that in India, and although India is not to be found in the top ten countries for high rape rates, while the US, the UK, New Zealand, Sweden, and Belgium all are.

Read about the 25 signs of the Nazification of the US police-state.

Devyani Custodial Rape OK’d By John Kerry

Here’s the proof that, as I’ve said, this arrest and “standard procedure” strip-search was approved at the highest level, by Secretary of State, John Kerry.

Dept. of State, Daily Press Briefings, December 18, 2013

(Khobragade was arrested on Dec 12)
QUESTION: Did Secretary Kerry personally sign off on the arrest?

MS. HARF: I don’t think that’s how it works. I’m happy to check. Sign off officially or – I don’t even – I mean, in any way —

QUESTION: Was he aware that the arrest was going to take place?

MS. HARF: He was certainly aware, yes, absolutely. He’s been kept up to speed on this case. I can double-check on exactly how it works.
QUESTION: The last one —

MS. HARF: How the process works, I just don’t know.

QUESTION: So he approved the arrest?

MS. HARF: I can double-check on how it works, because I don’t know he has official approving authority.

Yes, wait, and then I’ll come up to —

Sangeeta’s Mom-In-Law: Maid Was Avaricious

Vatsala Shrangi in The Sunday Guardian:

“However, in a 19 December interview with another English newspaper, Agnes had said, “Sangeeta, 42, who hails from Kerala, married Philip 20 years ago after three years of courtship, then apparently left his house three days later because he was not earning enough. I had reservations about the marriage but my son was in a hurry. She was staying in Ghaziabad with her father and had no job then.”

The report also has Agnes saying “Sangeeta always wanted to work abroad. She knew I was working at a diplomat’s house and wanted me to look for a similar job for her.”

When Devyani’s father Uttam Khobragade was contacted on the matter, he said, “Even we did not know that Sangeeta’s father-in-law is employed with the US embassy. It was only this week that we found out from another source that he works as a driver with them.

The US embassy should have ideally informed us about this.”

Mays Fired From Their Jobs

The NY Times reports:

“Two U.S. State Department employees in India have been removed from their posts for writing racist Facebook comments about their host country.

Wayne May, head of the security team for the U.S. embassy in New Delhi, and his wife Alicia Muller May, the embassy’s community liaison officer, posted messages during their three years in India about how “bizarre” the country was and in one instance joked about “vegetarians that are doing the raping” in response to the gruesome wave of violence in the country.

Well, the Mays should go, but not for being racists.  For being dumb. They can feel anyway they want to about India or Indians. However, as long as they represent this country to India, they ought to keep their feelings to themselves. The Mays could also have been posted elsewhere, where they would have felt comfortable.

Of course, the Mays are also welcome to comment in future at my blog, since I love outrageous commentary, and, as you can see from the way I engage with the underworld of American blogging, I am very gentle with the confused and intellectually-challenged..

Let’s be clear, the Mays were fall guys in all this.

There is no way a caper that had Bharara, the US State Dpt, the US Marshals, some Delhi police, the entire NGO world, and the major media all lined up together on one side, could have taken place without anything but the full sanction of some big bosses.

Please note the pecking order.

Notice that when the NGOs and the State Dpt. and the Human Rights folk were lined up with the maid, Devyani Khobragade couldn’t get a fair shake in the mainstream papers. You couldn’t open a page without hearing a lecture about the “slavery” routinely practiced by Indian barbarians.

We already knew about the Mays by then, but no one thought to fire them for having circumvented the judiciary of a sovereign nation.

But, as soon as Mr. May and his wife, who executed what was probably conceived at higher levels, got caught by social media in unpleasant remarks – oh, then, and only then, do the moral arbiters of the universe become outraged.

In other words, fire the guy for dumb remarks his wife made on social media, probably not intended to be seen.

[Sorry, correction: they were posting OPENLY on Facebook, which, in the circumstances, is really stupid.  Also, the FB pages were not hacked. Nor were they doctored in any way.  That’s just damage-control spin being put out by the army of intelligence hacks employed to keep public perceptions thoroughly spun.]

So, this is how it goes – fire May for comments made by his wife on FB, but don’t fire May for his part in circumventing/obstructing the Indian judiciary, enabling visa fraud ( T3 visa to Sangeeta Richard, when she she was already facing criminal charges in India); or for concocting either a trumped-up or badly exaggerated case that led to custodial rape of a senior married female diplomat; or for committing various crimes in India (tax-fraud and smuggling).

Makes sense?

This plot wasn’t put together by some agent. It was choreographed by someone higher at the State Department.

Gore Vidal WAS A Pedophile, Says Family

UPDATE

Further substantiating my accurate analysis that Vidal’s “anti-establishment” stance (including his “antiwar” stance) was not in anyway a principled objection to abusive power, notice from this report that he craved the status granted by elite institutions like Harvard (not having gone to college himself); notice that his hatred of the state was mixed with feelings of thwarted ambition because he’d always wanted to be president; notice that his anti-establishment rants were mingled with constant remembrances of status symbols and the upper-class gilded life to which he belonged and in which he reveled; notice the opulent life-style he lived (not that I have anything against that) and his $37 million estate); notice the deep alcoholism and madness in which he ended his life.

Now put against that the FACTS about Gandhi:

1. Was in excellent physical and mental condition late into life, when he was undergoing month-long fasts.

2. Was repeatedly offered leadership positions in the state and turned them down. Counseled against imitating Western state structures.

3.  Although once prosperous, gave away most of his belongings and was left with nothing more than a watch, his glasses, his loincloth and shawl, and a bowl out of which he ate.

4. Died not from alcoholism and insanity, but from a bullet delivered by an assassin. His last words were “He Ram” (Oh God).

No need to demonize Vidal, of course.

He was a talented, clever, witty man, who said many true things about history and government and he was a prolific, popular novelist of varying ability. He was a fine essayist, no doubt.

But he was also a compulsive  promiscuous pedophile (and most likely a child rapist) who publicly defended  other child rapists (Roman Polansky, Catholic priests).

He was nasty to friends and foes, envied others and relentlessly slandered them. He harbored demons to the end of his life that he was too weak to overcome. He deserved  the prayers and intervention of his friends and family in life, not the mindless adulation of strangers in death. He doubtless victimized scores of children, Thai children, whom we’ll never hear about. Safe Horizon, so exercised about the Indian nanny fake-slaver case should perhaps be called in about this compelling example of real child-sex tourism.

The American media can keep Gore Vidal for a hero. He fits their values.

I’d rather look among hundreds of unsung activists/writers for mine.

ORIGINAL POST

Gore Vidal’s family supports the long-standing rumors of Vidal’s pedophilia that I published here and that I decided, after analysis, were credible.

For that, this blog was hacked, and a week or so later, some spooky electronic harassment took place. I’m not really sure how that happened. I only know it took place.

I think I was alone among antiwar bloggers, most of whom praised Vidal to the skies, ignoring everything except the fact that his position on war was theirs.

I usually wouldn’t criticize a man on his death, but the universal praise of such a deeply flawed man, just after the contemptible and untruthful slurs against Gandhi, cried out to be corrected.

So here’s the post I wrote: Vidal, Polanksy and Kinsey, August 4, 2012.

In contrast, here’s Justin Raimondo’s piece “The Last Jeffersonian,” August 3, 2012

[I have always liked Raimondo’s investigative pieces on the Israeli lobby, one of the more dangerous areas for writers, so this isn’t meant as an attack on him.]

Here’s another libertarian Bill Kauffman on Vidal.

Now for the main points from the Daily Mail piece on Vidal:

“In a feature that appeared in the New York Times, Ms Straight – who had a ‘turbulent though close relationship’ with Vidal – said the openly-gay author had had sex with underage men.

“She described the alleged circumstances as ‘Jerry Sandusky acts’, referring to the former Penn State assistant football coach convicted of child molestation.

“Mr Steers – who directed the Zac Efron film Charlie St Cloud – said that conservative columnist William F. Buckley – who had a long-running public feud with Vidal, which also played out in court – had evidence linking Vidal to the alleged crimes.”

AND

“The New York Times article also says that the ever-opinionated Vidal had a strange and controversial take on the abuse perpetrated by Catholic priests.

“‘He would say that the young guys involved were hustlers who were sending signals,’ Mr Steers said.

[Lila: Based on this statement alone, I would give credibility to the charges against Vidal.]

“However the author of the article, Tim Teeman, wrote that ‘other friends of Mr. Vidal told me they doubted he had sex with underage men’.

“I”Vidal suffered from dementia and alcoholism towards the end of his life.

“Mr Steers said he would drink single male scotch ‘until he collapsed’.

Vidal also had ‘wet brain’ – proper name Wernicke-Korsakoff – a syndrome characterized by a number of symptoms, including confusion and hallucination.”

Vidal was not only a pedophile, it seems he beat up gays, so intense was his own self-loathing.

[Lila: I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not his “pedophilia” but his involvement in even worse – violence against  male child prostitutes that might be the real story and the “yes he was a pedophile” simply a diversion. After all, pedophilia apologias have already appeared in mainstream media, like The Atlantic.]

Consider the reverential treatment given to this insane, addicted, unpleasant man, who was a self-confessed pederast. His well-documented compulsive lifestyle was passed over in silence by the establishment media, since he was “one of them,” from the ruling class.

But of Gandhi, a man who fought his devils all his life bravely, with the utmost candor, and engaged, successfully or not, in one of the biggest social upheavals in modern history,  the same media has recently had nothing but scurrilous and easily discredited innuendo.

Malicious critics called him a bisexual pedophile molester, based on deliberate falsification and exaggeration of historical evidence. They called him a hypocrite, whereas the truth was he was compulsively open to his critics, even begging them to write the worst they knew about him.

Why so much venom? Because Gandhi was Indian and the media in the West has over the last two years been engaged in a systematic campaign of vilification and half-truths against India, along with literal provocations, as I’ve amply documented.

While Vidal,  a hero of  modern liberals, lived in terror of the truth about himself coming out, Gandhi courageously reported every passing sexual feeling in his diaries, urged his critics to say the worst about him that they could, and berated himself endlessly for even mental failures of continence.

Here’s more about  the new claims about Vidal:

“Vidal accused Buckley of being a “crypto-Nazi”; Buckley responded by labelling Vidal a “queer” and telling him to stop his insults or Buckley would “sock [him] in the goddamn face”.

Their argument ended up in the courts, where Buckley first lost an expensive lawsuit against Vidal for libel, before winning a settlement from a magazine that republished Vidal’s written attack years later.

Vidal once estimated he had slept with 1,000 men before he was 25, and boasted of having had sex with Fred Astaire, Rock Hudson and Noel Coward, according to Mr Teeman.

While enjoying a 53-year relationship with his long-term partner, Howard Austen, before Austen’s death in 2003, he wrote in his 1995 memoir, Palimpsest, that he was “attracted to adolescent males”…….

…Buckley’s son, Christopher, has said that while clearing out his late father’s study, he found a file labelled “Vidal Legal”, which he threw into a dumpster…….

An unidentified “longtime friend” of Vidal’s added that the author had once shocked a guest at his home in Ravello, Italy, by announcing: “You know I’m a pederast”.

This friend focused on Vidal’s time spent in Bangkok, Thailand, a city notorious for its sex trade. “He did go to Thailand every year, and he was definitely having sex with male prostitutes there, and they weren’t older male prostitutes,” the friend said.”

Evil people lie about good people for one principal reason – vanity.

They cannot stand being shown up by anything or anyone better than they are.  A couple of years ago, the Catholic Archbishop of Philadelphia, wrote about the profound intolerance of sin for anything that rebukes it, in an essay, “Evil preaches tolerance only when it’s weak.”

So also lies cannot tolerate truth.

But  the world is not built on lies.  And man cannot live on lies.

At the end, when the mud and the bile and the envious distortions of petty men have had their day, the truth will be vindicated.

India Nanny-Gate: Color Revolution In the Making: Part One

I’m re-posting this blog-post from a few days back, with footnotes and links.

I’ll be adding to the evidence shortly.

INDIAN NANNY-GATE: COLOR REVOLUTION IN THE MAKING?

PART ONE: THE WELL-FUNDED NGO’S BEHIND THE ANTI-TRAFFICKING AGENDA

By now, everyone knows that on December 13, 2013, an Indian diplomat, Devyani Khobragade, was arrested and strip-searched by New York police on charges that she failed to pay her Indian maid minimum wage and lied about it to the US government.

In the Western media, the diplomat Devyani Khobragade was treated as a poster-child for the latest human-rights cause celebre, transnational human-trafficking.

However, a closer reading of media reports suggests that the case was set up from the beginning and might well be part of an organized attempt by the Western elites to destabilize India, as part of their ongoing attempt to replace nation-states around the world with transnational bureaucracies under their own direction.

Here’s the evidence so far:

A.

The activists advocating for the maid are part of a very well-financed, ideologically left-wing, transnational network.

The maid’s lawyer Dana Sussman works in the anti-trafficking program of a New York outfit called Safe-Horizon, the largest victims services outfit in the US.

Its directors include representative of the leading multinational financial institutions and corporations in the US, including UBS, JP Morgan Chase, Verizon, and Calvin Klein. (1)

The anti-trafficking program at Safe Horizon was started by Florrie Burke, “a consultant on Human Trafficking and modern day slavery to both governmental and non-governmental agencies.”(2)

Ms. Burke is also on the steering committee of the New York Anti-Trafficking Network and chairman emeritus of the Freedom Network, a coalition of 35 experts and NGOs across the nation, which styles itself the only national group to adopt a “rights-based framework” for its efforts.(3)

The 2013 -2014 policy committee of the Freedom Network is co-chaired by Naomi Tsu of the Southern Poverty Law Center and Dana Sussman, the maid’ lawer, from Safe-Horizon.(4)

The SPLC, once a well-regarded civil rights organization, is increasingly regarded as a biased and selective enforcer of left-wing ideology, known for over-the-top characterizations of its ideological foes.(5)

This should lay to rest any idea that Dana Sussman is just a lawyer defending a client. She is instead a prominent activist, paid by the biggest victims services Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in the USA and, thus, in the world.

B

The Anti-trafficking network has the backing of major corporate and financial leaders.

Safe Horizon not only has the backing of major banks and corporate bosses in the US, it is embedded in the NY city government through its court-based victims services programs.  (6)

New York’s government is the most important local government in the US, since New York is the financial capital of the nation and the home of many international bodies, including the United Nations.

C. The Freedom Network has taken a vociferous and one-sided stance on behalf of the Khobragade maid, as evident from letters on its site, such as the following:

“An Open Letter to Ambassador Samantha Powers Regarding Exploitation Charges Against Indian Diplomat.”
(7)

D.

The chief of the anti-trafficking network was on an extended tour conferencing with media and government in sensitive areas of India at the time of Khobragade’s arrest.

Just before the arrest of Ms. Khobragade, Ms. Burke was in India on December 7 at Guwahati in the north-east state of Assam.

She was there for a conference on human-trafficking, which she described as a menace needing an all-India body that would coordinate efforts across the states to combat it. (8)

To the Assamese newspaper, Sentinel, Ms. Burke said:

“After Abraham Lincoln, it is only Obama who has spoken out as stridently as possible against modern day slavery.

Besides Assam and Andhra (a Southern coastal state), Ms. Burke mentioned Afghanistan and Pakistan as sites where anti-trafficking efforts should be expanded.

Andhra has been a site of Naxalite terrorism, as well as of CIA and NGO/Church interference in the government, as has Assam.

Many have seen such intervention as the soft-power arm of empire, operating through bribery and espionage. (9)
Afghanistan and Pakistan of course are targets of imperial hard-power, that is, bombs.

Ms. Burke didn’t explain why her anti-trafficking interests mesh so exactly with US strategic interests.

Recall that the Indian electric outage first began in the North-East region of India, as I blogged in July-August 2012. (10)

Since then, other bloggers have shown that there is evidence that the electricity outage might have been caused by Stuxnet. (11)

With that background, and with our current awareness of the level and depth of US and Israeli espionage against the entire globe, it is interesting to find that the Guwahati anti-trafficking conference promoted the use of software enabling cross-border collaboration between law-enforcement agencies prosecuting anti-trafficking cases. (12) (My emphasis)

Cross-border collaborations between intelligence agencies of countries as far apart in their ability to “project power” as the US and India must inherently be asymmetrical and accrue to the advantage of the more powerful country.

In short, collaboration may be just another pretext for Great Power spying for business and military ends.

Remember that the biometric ID has already been introduced in Afghanistan and is being pushed in India. (13)
Again, as with the anti-trafficking program, the ID is advocated with a “good governance” pretext, in this case, that it will reduce fraud in welfare distributions.

Returning to Florrie Burke’s tour of India as chief of the Freedom Network and its anti-trafficking agenda, we find that the Facebook page of the anti-trafficking conference at Guwahati shows an Indian newspaper editor (Editor, Sikkim Express) receiving the “Impulse” Model Award For Media Change Maker from Cristina Albertin, Representative, UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime) Regional Office for South Asia. (14)

Awards are also being given to the editors of papers from Meghalaya.

Thomas Lim, editor Meghalaya Times and Deepak Singh, Associate Editor of Meghalaya Times received the Impulse Model Award For Media Change Maker from Helen LaFave, CG, U.S. Consulate, Kolkatta.

The presence of a US consular officer shows once again that the US government itself is never far behind altruistic “human rights” outfits.

To put this more bluntly, the national anti-trafficking coalition which has been vocally lobbying against Devyani Khobragade has also been canvassing support for its agenda among the media of outlying states in India.
These are the states with histories of being infiltrated and subverted by Maoists and Naxalites, often abetted by the CIA, American NGOs, proselytising churches and missionary bodies. (15)

In fact, since the arrest of Ms. Khobragade took place only a few days after this anti-trafficking grand tour, it wouldn’t be too much to wonder if the two were coordinated.

E.

The Indian media networks that endorse anti-trafficking also support key elements of the UN’s Agenda 21, which has the backing of George Soros, the billionaire front for the Zionist/Rothschild banking cartel.

The “Impulse” in Impulse Media, one of the groups referenced in the Face-book page of the anti-trafficking conference at Guwahati, refers to Impulse Social Enterprises, a group that says it supports ‘sustainable livelihoods for all.” (16)

Now, “sustainability” is a word that crops up frequently in any program espoused by the Western power-elite.

Peter Wood, executive director of the National Association of Scholars (NAS) says, “It turns out that virtually the entire agenda of the progressive left can be fit inside the word sustainability.'” (17)

In fact, the word “sustainability” is code for UN Agenda 21, signed by the US in 1992 (18):

Vice President Gore s book, Earth in the Balance, addressed many of the general issues of sustainability.

Within the past year, the President s Council on Sustainable Development has been organized to develop recommendations for incorporating sustainability into the federal government.

Also, various groups have been formed to implement Agenda 21, a comprehensive blueprint for sustainable development that was adopted at the recent UNCED conference in Rio de Janeiro (the Earth Summit. )

and later,

A common misconception is that sustainability is synonymous with self-sufficiency; on the contrary, sustainability must recognize the interconnections between different levels of societal structure. (18)

One American activist writes:

Agenda 21 is about total control of our personal property, our ability to travel, our energy consumption& health; the list literally goes on and on.

As Rosa Koire, author of Behind the Green Mask: U.N. Agenda 21 states, under an Agenda 21 future, your energy consumption will be controlled until you can’t farm, can’t manufacture, can’t travel, can’t fish, can’t use your land.

Productivity and businesses are limited now.

Through pushing everyone into smart cities and onto smart grids, the Obama EPA s clampdown on coal, and the steering of all manner of public policy from land-use and land ownership restrictions to seemingly small traffic initiatives that ultimately restrict personal travel, evidence of Agenda 21 can be found everywhere we look these days.

It s just as former Rockefeller Board of Trustees member (the Rockefeller Foundation is behind Agenda 21 imitative America 2050? among others) and Earth Council Chairman Maurice Strong envisioned when he wrote the forward to ICLEI s The Local Agenda 21 Planning Guide sustainable development implementation document:

In my parting words at the conclusion of the Earth Summit, I said that we all must move down from the Summit and into the trenches where the real world actions and decisions are taken that will, in the final analysis, determine whether the vision of Rio will be fulfilled and the agreements reached there implemented.

Of the many programs that have resulted from the Earth Summit, none is more promising or important than this one, which has hundreds of local authorities around the world now setting out and implementing their Local Agenda 21s.” (19)

It’s clear from this that the anti-human-trafficking program is closely tied to Sustainability and Human Rights, two of the pillars of the UN/CIA agenda and that the terms mean something far different from what they mean in ordinary usage.

The UN/CIA agenda has been shown by activists to be funded and supported by George Soros.

Soros is a billionaire front of the Rothschild banking cartel. (20)

Would it be too far-fetched to ask if there might not be a financial and strategic reason for the pursuit of the anti-trafficking agenda, and would it be too cynical to ask, cui bono?

Mullick writes:

“Today we spend less on training Indian security personnel than we do on security forces from Morocco, Tunisia, El Salvador, Poland and Pakistan. Compared to the zero dollars currently allocated to India in the Foreign Military Financing account, we provide $13.2 million to Bulgaria; $22 million to Indonesia; $35 million to Yemen; $42 million to Poland; and $296 million to Pakistan. Moreover, $800 million is allocated to Pakistan under the Pakistan Counterinsurgency Fund, with little bang for the buck. This distribution of resources, compared to both need and affinity, makes little sense.”

Rajiva: On the other hand, it makes perfect sense, if US-India security cooperation is less about security from terrorist threats and more about using the country as a cats-paw to further US goals in the region.

Note: The Global Terrorism Index 2012 ranks India in the top five countries around the world suffering from terrorism, ahead of countries like Somalia and Columbia in the number of terrorist incidents and deaths.
